Stomach is really tight

I have never been able to tell if I'm having Braxton Hicks or if the baby is just stretching out. Right now my stomach feels really tight but nothing I would think of as a cramp or contraction. If they are BH how long can that go on before it turns into real labor? Days? Weeks?

Months even. Maybe not at this point, if you don't have months left, but I've been aware of them since before 20 weeks, and I'm at 37 now. Doesn't mean much.

Sounds like Braxton Hicks contractions. I have had them with this pregnancy since 25 weeks. Sometimes they get pretty rough and tight but no luck so far in going to labor.
