Best belly binder for csection mommies?

Anybody have a good experience with a belly binder after csection? My doctor recommended getting one to support belly but I'm not sure what's a good one. I read belly bandit is one and abdomend is another but not sure which one is best. Any mommies had experience with any other products that helps support tummy from discomfort after csection?

Lucky you, my hospital didn't give me one. Hope it work for you:)
  • I have a belly bandit. But I'm scared to use it. I feel I'm not healed all the way
  • I want to get one. My doctor is advising to wait for healing as I am so flooded with physical issues from the surgery. I chose to listen and get a belly bandit when I'm not so tender.
  • Geeze... my hospital gave me one, and I believe they either put it on me the same night as my surgery, or the day after. The whole point was to help with pain when first walking/moving/etc... so I don't see why anyone would recommend waiting until you're healed. What's the point by then?

I'm not sure but when I went for 1 week pp check up, doctor suggested I use one. She said it would makes me more comfortable and would help with all that organs in your tummy flopping around like jello. I healed by then so I'm not sure if that's why she said it was ok. You might wanna ask your dr before doing so.

Yeah the band goes above the incision line so it won't touch that area which is why I think it's ok, but then again I'm not a Doctor.
  • They put it on me the day after my surgery when I attempted to walk, and I have worn it ever since! It makes a huge difference with the pain, I can't imagine running errands without it, it keeps your belly from hamging over the incision and it helps it get back in shape.
  • I have a bellefit corset and absolutely love it! I wear it all day and even though I know women who sleep in theirs I prefer to take mine off. It really helps keep all my insides 'where they're supposed to be' and it has helped reduce the discomfort I have in my back (the corset is probably making me sit up straighter). I say get one! It's been a wonderful purchase, I don't regret it one bit
  • I also got mine from the hospital and they put it on me as soon as they closed me up. And it goes directly on the incision. It even still has my blood on it from the first night, so I know it's supposed to go there.
  • So my sister bought me the Underwrapz post pregnancy support belt from motherhood destination and I don't like them. They are so uncomfortable and I can't move around that great. She also bought me the Post pregnancy panty and they are great. I love the panty, which I wore over my underwear, it is very comfortable and it keep all my stuff in like it should. The underwear seem to be good quality as well and it's easy to move around. I love it!!!!!
