I did do a Costco run and that kicked my butt!!!

Re: C-section mommies!!

  • My little boy is 2 weeks and 2 days and I'm almost back to normal I do all the house hold things like before and even went to the mall and zoo today. Can't really take it easy with an active 2 year old.

My guy will be 2 weeks on Sunday and I am also doing all the stuff around the house and running errands. I'm not working out or doing more exercise than walking but I'm itching to.
  • Little girl is also 2 weeks today. I haven't driven or carried anything heavier than the baby (except a bag of groceries).. but that's only because my support people won't let me. I feel pretty great and confident that I can do everything I used to, though. I will say that my digestive tract isn't quite back to normal, though...
  • Same as PP's for me. I just finished week 4 post birth/surgery. Week 1 was pretty tough but I've been doing household stuff since week 2 and am
just making sure I'm not really lifting much except for baby girl and dishes. I would say I'm still moving slower to be careful but I'm still doing most of the same stuff I did pre-CS.
  • I am 4 days out of my second c section and feel great!! This has been excellent, I am moving well and do not feel like I did after my first c section. I am very mobile and am even able to vacuum and mop and several other cleaning activities (which makes me happy!!). I have pain medicine for the surgery but haven't really needed it yet. :)
  • 3weeks post c section & only have pain when sitting up from bed or out of a chair! BUT!! Some times I get this burning stinging pain in my right hip.... No stitches there though??? That surgery was no joke !! ~O)

Holy cow... speaking of the surgery... Was anyone else amazed at how painful it ended up being? It may have just been because I labored for 22 hours first so my insides were already in pain and exhausted, but while I was expecting a lot of pressure, I was shocked at how painful it was having them dig around inside of me. I remember "yelling" that the pain was just too unbearable, hoping they would knock me out. Later my husband told me I was actully whispering it lol.

I have a pretty high pain threshold, but that surgery pushed me to my limit!
