Hello! Intro :)

Hi everyone, I'm Elise and I'm a momma to identical twin boys who are 18 months! I recently found out I'm pregnant and am due the beginning of February! We haven't told anyone yet, but are very excited. I was fairly active on the multiples board for a while until life got crazy with two toddlers running around. I'm excited to be part of this board and hope I can keep up!
Question for you ladies: when is your first appointment scheduled? Just called the dr yesterday (a new ob for me) and they don't see you until 10-12 weeks so my first appointment isn't until July 14! (I'm only 4 weeks now!) Seems so far away! I'm hoping to get an ultrasound shortly after my first appointment to see this baby and see if it is twins again! So we will see!

    Welcome and congrats! That is actually fairly typical that you won't be seen until 10 weeks. You can't really see much on an ultrasound until around 8 weeks and most women who get seen earlier are seen due to infertility or other high risk factors. I'm going in to my Dr Monday for a blood draw to check hormone levels because of my previous mc but they won't do my ultrasound until 8 weeks (June 25th) and I won't have an actual appointment with the Dr until 10-11 weeks.

    Welcome and congrats!! I haven't called for my appointment yet but I will Monday (which will be certain that I've missed my period). My last pregnancy she did a transvag ultrasound at 8 weeks so that's what I'm expecting this time. Then I think NT scan is 12 weeks and Anatomy Scan at 18.

    Congrats and welcome!! I haven't gone for my blood work yet even but they don't schedule here until 10 weeks. We are probably gonna try and go to Planned Parenthood for an early ultrasound though ;)

    Hi!!! Glad you're here! I have a 19mo- aren't they fun? Having two though...boy I don't know how you do it! Haha!

    Welcome and congrats!! With DS I had an ultrasound at 7 weeks due to a previous MC. This time around however we have moved to a new state so we have a brand new doctor. She isn't taking me until just after 8 (July 1) weeks, It was 9 but I lucked out and they had to reschedule. Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months!
