Can we talk about cellulite!?

So to start off, I'm 17 weeks today and for the last couple weeks I have noticed an increase in cellulite on my butt and thighs, almost done to my knees!!  I had a little before I was pregnant on my butt but now it's like woah!!  I'll be honest--I hate it and I'm constantly aware and self-conscious of it--but I'm wondering if anyone else is noticing this?  And any experience moms, does it go away once you lose the baby weight??  Thanks!

Re: Can we talk about cellulite!?

  • FTM here and am not experiencing this (yet - knock on wood), but would also love to hear from experienced moms!  Cellulite and stretch marks are a bit terrifying to me.  I know that makes me sound like an image-obsessed narcissist, but hey, aren't we all just a little bit?

  • I am the same way this is my second and I have a lot again and only 16 weeks now. Unfortunately I got horrible stretch marks in these areas too but kept on the lotion and lost the 60 I gained. U can def get it gone after having your baby and exercising for sure!
  • Im pretty sure cellulite is one of those shitty things that doesnt care if you're fat or thin, pregnant or not, a gym bunny or a sofa monster... if it's gonna get you, it's gonna get you. Caffeine is meant to help, so i mix coffee grounds with a bit of olive or coconut oil and use it as a scrub on my legs...no idea if its helping the cellulite but my legs are soft and smooth...and sometimes I even remember to clean the tub after so people dont fall over in the oil slick I leave behind.

Glad to hear it will go away :-) I do without a lot and eat healthy so there's really not much else to do I guess other than wait till after baby is here to drop the weight!
  • We can talk about it but do we have to? ;)

I noticed I have a little more on my thighs. I'm a pretty damn healthy chick but I think it happens to everyone. Just use it as fuel to your fire and motivation for when you're clear to work out again.
