Yes and I feel the exact same way. Do you know the location of your placenta? My doctor said I might not be feeling anything because of my placentas location. It really makes me nervous because I felt so much more with my son.

  • In my notes it says my placenta is high so i dont think its that, when i had my anomaly scan baby was curled up in a ball with its feet in its mouth, hoping to get some movements in the next few weeks or im gna end up down the hospital panicing x
  • It's normal. Search this topic, too, and you'll find you're in good company. Try not to worry, and trust the scans and checkups. You won't start monitoring regular movement until almost 30 weeks. Try to relax and enjoy when you do feel it!

  • I'm in the same boat. If baby is down low I can't feel it. I had a previous c section, where the location of that scar is I have no feeling so I don't know if that's part of why I don't feel her everywhere she goes or what the deal is. I'm rather jealous of my friend who is due at the beginning of September and feels her baby all the time.

I'm 21w and have an anterior placenta and was almost sad to realize during my A/S how much I'm NOT feeling! I felt everything with my first, but this time it's just a lot of rolling around. Now as she's getting higher, I'm beginning to feel her kicking a bit more. Over the next few weeks it should really become more frequent.

  • Glad im not the only one. I felt everything in my prev pregnancy, felt a few niggles today so baby must be paying attention lol x fingers crossed i start feeling bubba move a tad more xx
  • I'm 22w1d with twins and only feel very infrequent movements when I lay down in bed at night. At my 20w appointment my doctor said she didn't feel her twins until 22 weeks.
  • I'm 20 weeks and I haven't felt anything at all yet. This is my first pregnancy so I'm not really sure what I should be feeling ..?!

My first baby rarely kicked the entire pregnancy. He was a calm infant and now he is a wild, running toddler. Totally healthy. My friend's son kicked a ton and was a wild moving infant. I wouldn't worry.
  • I could never do a kick count fyi because he did not kick enough. The OBs weren't concerned
  • I felt the same way at 21 weeks, then towards the end of that week I was lying in bed next to my husband. All of the sudden baby girl kicked my hand! I grabbed my husbands hand and he felt it too, for the first time!! Try drinking some orange juice or something sugary, waiting a bit laying down and see if he doesn't put on a show! Another thing to remember, now that I'm on bed rest I stay awake later at night and come to find out, she is awake moving when I'm typically sleeping.

I'm 20 weeks and a day and I feel my son kicking like crazy. My.last two pregnancies were girls and I didn't feel them until I was 23 weeks. Every pregnancy is different. They say some women don't feel movements until they are 24 weeks. If you arent feeling movements by then, go to your doctors.

I'm 19 weeks and haven't felt a thing, but I'm a FTM so I don't know what I should be feeling. But, I'm sure everything is fine. I go for my 20-week scan and ultrasound on Saturday! Excited! I've resolved to stop worrying about every little thing. We're all different so we will all feel and experience different things at different times. I'm sure I'll feel something soon. Stay positive!!
  • Yes i feel the exact same way & im 20 weeks now , i panic cause its my first child & i still havent felt him moving around or kicking me .. I get worried until i have doctor appointments and see him doing fine on the screen lol
