Those Crazy Pregnancy Dreams

I don't know about anyone else, but my dreams are super crazy right now. Most involve me pregnant or going into labor. However, ALL of them are nuts!

What has been your craziest dream?

Mine involved overly large rattlesnakes, a smaller rattler that bit my mom's face, and my mother telling me to leave her behind to deal with the large rattlers because I was pregnant.

I had a dream the other night about kittens breaking through our windows and squeezing under our doors - kinda like a zombie invasion but more adorable.

I dreamt that my cousin who is a L&D nurse (at a different hospital than where I'm delivering) delivered my baby except it wasn't a human... I delivered a guinea pig.

She set it down, & it scurried away.

I don't know if I was more upset that I had a guinea pig or that it ran away....terrible.

i had a dream i was at my moms house, trying to make pb toast (my morning ritual) but the bread kept falling apart- WHAT A NIGHTMARE! haha

The only dream that I've had recently that I remember involved me giving birth but naming the baby something completely different than what we had planned on, one of my co-workers being at the hospital and actually assisting in the birth? and a ton of people being there while I was trying to breastfeed and I got really mad and kicked everyone out!

Jeez i've had so many weird ones lately too. They were nuts in the first trimester and subsided for a while but are back and in full effect.

Last weekend i dreamt that i delivered my baby (finally saw her face for the first time- all my other dreams i never actually saw her). She just kind of slipped out after my water broke. All of the dreams I've had where i've had the baby have involved ridiculously easy births, a couple of the dreams i couldnt even remember the delivery. I was just talking to friends like "Oh yeah i had the baby this morning, it was a girl right? Did i have the epidural??" I'm not sure if this is an omen of an easy delivery to come or if my subconscious is trying to calm be before the wildest birth ever.

Then there was last night's dream that involved me and my puppy Luna swimming miles upon miles and feeding/saving manatees. I can't even begin to analyze that one.

Craziest dream I had was that I gave birth to a toddler. He had a full head of hair, full set of teeth, and as he walked himself out of the hospital he was introducing himself to everyone we passed.

Ironically enough, we were team green, and it was a boy in the dream, and we ended up having a beautiful baby boy. And at 8#11 he isn't a toddler, but he certainly is a big one!

I haven't had one of these dreams but I might as well have. I read a Facebook article last night before bed about sleep paralysis and a movie coming out about it. Like when your body skips a stage of REM while waking so your mind is awake and aware of surroundings but your body/speech is still immobilized. As if that wasn't terrifying enough apparently most people this happens too will see a figure in their room looming towards them and it comes very close to their face while they struggle to move inside a paralyzed body before finally waking up. It sounded like crap but then I asked FI if it had ever happened to him and he said yes that he saw a figure of an old woman coming towards him. Which is one of the common figures the article mentioned. So, too afraid to go to sleep for fear of having one of these dreams, I stayed awake all night lurking on the Bump until it got light out. I'm so mature.

The sleep paralysis thing has happened to me once. I was sleeping over my friends house. While I was laying there trying to fall asleep I felt something heavy on top of me holding me down. I was trying to move and scream but could not do either. I swore I was still awake when this happened...but in order to try and save my sanity I'll go with the other possibility of being half way asleep. I didn't see anything thank God. It was scary as hell. It only happened once and I hope it never happens again.

My strangest one was during the second trimester. I had a dream that I delivered the baby but then got dressed and went right back to work. My husband was at the hospital with the baby and sending me pictures all day and I was so mad that he got to stay and I didn't! I woke up so sad/angry at DH! haha Maybe it's a sign I work too much??

Me and 3 friends were getting ready for our prom (LOL) and I said "guys I'm going to go into labor"! My one friend reached over and pulled the baby out of the top of my stomach and started rocking him, while my other friend helped me into the wheelchair to head to the hospital where i "officially" delivered him. I was angry because we went to a "more expensive" hospital LMAO. Then I was worried about his nose because he got the big nose from my moms side of the family.

I had a sexy dream about Scarlett Johansson in the bread aisle of the supermarket, during second trimester. I've been embarrassed about it for months, but haven't told anyone about it. I have this irrational fear DH can read my mind though, lol!

I'm not a prude - had some wild college years and know what I'm into - but am not into ladies, SJ or public fornication... so this one really threw me! Lol, now that I'm typing it out, it sounds so silly. This also inspired me to start FFFC

I've had a few. I don't share them cause I don't want to put ideas into the heads of these other fine ladies. One of them had a little bit of this sleep paralysis @Serenamarr was talking about. Really disturbing

I had one in the second trimester that totally freaked me out. So bloody and gory. It was very disturbing and I had a rough time sleeping for the next couple of nights because I was afraid it'd come back. I much prefer the sex dreams.

Last night, I woke up and thought I had a spider on me and then felt the spider bite me...I think it was all a dream but my poor DH was woken up and had to help me find this spider...

I'm having a few reoccuring themes 1 is my work, I work in a jail an we had a riot a few months ago. Different scenarios from that riot effect me in my dreams and involve either myself/my husband (who isn't a prisoner or guard) being caught up in dangerous situations.

Another one is my best friend and I after 26 years have stopped talking due to her new relationship being incredibly toxic, abusive and controlling. I have dreams about her all the time, never nice ones.

My nanna died 3 days after we told her I was pregnant, LO will be great grandchild #1. I was never close to her but a few weeks back I had a dream tht I had the baby, my nanna was wearing her best Sunday outfit (from what she wore at our wedding), she was already dead in my dream and we all knew she had died but it didn't matter. She came, held LO kissed the baby, kissed me and left the hospital. Id like to think this was her
Visiting us and giving her blessing..

Last night I had trouble sleeping. Around one or two in the morning I saw that my BIL had posted on Facebook that he witnessed a robbery. Today I went to show my DH the post and it was gone. For a while I was thinking that I finally had a crazy preggo dream but it seemed so real. About an hour ago I found out it really happened. Dream or no dream it was all weird!!

In real life I'm pregnant with team green twins, and both are breech so we have a C-section scheduled. I dreamt that I had the surgery at 4am, and my doc handed me my precious little Baby A, who was a boy. I was somewhat groggy still from surgery. Later that day I was feeling movements again in my tummy and suddenly remembered that we had twins. The other one was still in my tummy after the c section! I went back to my OB and told her she forgot to get Baby B, and she scolded me saying, "why didn't you remind me there were two?" Then she had to do another c section and Baby B was a little girl. But I was charged for two separate surgeries.

Haha I actually told my doc about the dream in real life and she laughed.
