16 week ultra sound

so last week I was told I'm having a girl!!!! Hubby and I couldn't be happier. I went to the doc yesterday and the ultra sound tech put doubt in my mind... Showed her my pics and she was like well you never know baby could have its junk tucked up... The lady that did my scan was very certain the baby was a girl kept saying she was easy to tell and yup there are the three lines! What do u ladies think?

I think the tech at your Dr had to cover herself because she was not the one who performed the scan. With any pregnant there is a chance for any tech to be incorrect. We were to girl with mine and her scan looks very different for my sons! Looking at yours id say girl too!

I'd like to say girl too! I've been told many times about the three lines for girls too!
I'd wait though for the anatomy scan to buy anything. We had one done at 14 weeks and were told girl too but still decided to wait for the anatomy scan to make sure!

Why do u even comment on others posts? There are other women that have had girls and boys and have scans. I saw you posted on another poor women's too just stop!

Thank you Hun! They do look very different from boys and the whole time there were NO boy parts anywhere. Good luck with your lil girl too! Keep us posted!

Thank you Hun!!! Yea we are its just nerve wracking lol in my mind I have had a lil girl for over a week now lol. We shall see!

You are being very not. Have you contributed to other posts in this community? Have you answered questions or done any more than shove a picture your child in front of us and ask us to examine it's genetalia? If you did that to someone on the street you'd get arrested. The people on here were politely pointing out to you that it's not really considered polite as about 15 or 20 women are doing the same thing making this place to share information and ask questions about pregnancy and motherhood into a veritable orgy of unborn genetalia.

Can we at least get a thread stickied for all of the "GUESS HOW MY BABY WILL PEE" posts so it doesn't clog up the board? Since they don't seem like they're going to stop, we should at least contain the madness.

Here's what our 15 week scan looked like, and they said clearly a boy. You can never be 100% sure I really never know what I am looking at with these things but I do know that this one and my daughters look 100% different. Only time will tell, good luck

I see it all over the birth boards. It's not like someone's going to run and paint their nursery pink or blue because of some thread online.

Genuine concern. Please tell me your tech did not use the word "junk". Because if so, it's time for a new job.

This is a COMMUNITY forum for women to support and encourage one another not to create UNNECESSARY drama. Having functioning reproductive systems does not make us "like minded individuals". I would never post photos of my baby's genitalia in the Internet, for one thing. Second, finding out the sex is not the be all and end all of a pregnancy. #TeamGreen

It's not even the most important part of the anatomy scan, as some others have pointed out. The primary reason for the anatomy scan is to ensure your baby is developing properly.

Woah there. Lets get one thing straight... These posts (yes posts... there are many of these lately) are NOT women finding out the sex of the baby. They are impatient women asking a group of laymen to analyze the hard to see genitals of their unborn children. Finding out you are having a baby is exciting. Finding out you are having a healthy baby is thrilling. Playing guessing games about genitals at this stage of pregnancy on INDIVIDUAL threads in a community forum where members are seeking advice, support and camaraderie on relevant topics is not exciting nor thrilling for the community. These are AW posts that do not contribute to the board and only push relevant posts off the first page. I think that if someone wants to pin a topic for people to share US pics and make bold assumptions about the baby's sex before the anatomy scan... Fine. Not for me, but fine. But out of respect for those of us interested in genuin dialogue, stop posting these one offs and clogging the first page.

I am Team Green because the sex of my baby doesnt matter to me, but I completely understand how many want to know the sex and are eager/excited. When the baby's sex is confirmed, women can share that news on the pinned topics for team blue and team pink. Until that point, these "I am impatient and want to play guessing games with non-medical experts posts" do not warrant their own threads.

Ok let's just agree to disagree. It's clear that neither side will win this battle. But those of you complaining that this is clogging up the forum, consider this: you adding a snarky comment and chastising the user for posting something you don't agree with only hurts your argument since you yourself have just pushed that topic to the front with said comment. So if you really want these posts to disappear, don't waste time by commenting on them!!
