Last night with my baby- update: D&C complete

Got the sad confirmation this week that we lost our LO. I'm scheduled for a D&C in the morning, and it's really just starting to hit me that it's my last night with my baby. I'm anxious to start healing, but I feel so guilty because it means the final goodbye is here. :'(

    So sorry you have to go through this, sending thoughts and prayers of comfort your way during this time. Thank you for sharing info on my post about the D&C, my dr talked about it but said I should wait for it to pass and if it doesn't by my appointment on June 10th then we will discuss further treatement.  I know this is going to be hard on my heart, especially if I continue to have these symptoms making me feel like i'm pregnant.  I'm really anxious to start the healing process too so I might end up calling my dr sooner to talk about it. Never knew it would be this hard to deal with emotionally.  :(

    I gave my little one a speech in the prep room before my d&c, basically that mommy's sorry she couldn't do more for you and don't forget how much we love you. I said my final goodbyes in that room. It was rough, I'll be thinking of you tomorrow

    The procedure went well, which it keeps paining me to say that given the nature of things. So far, recovery has been a lot smoother than I thought it would be. We'll see how it is tomorrow. Still waiting for everything to really sink in. Wanted to thank everyone for their well wishes. Means a lot.

    I'm glad it went okay. Hang in there the hormone drop is a roller coaster.
