See movement but can't feel it??

hi, I'm 16 weeks 5 days today and the last week or so I can "see" which side baby is lying on as its a slightly more raised bump that the other side. Then today and last night if I'm lucky and I poke where the baby visibly is lying it will shortly afterwards move! The bump will go down or come up on the other side. At first o thought I was imagining it but then it happened again and once more with my mum and sister watching! I have lost a stone in this pregnancy due to HG so I know that my bump is all bump and not fat but how odd is that? I can't feel any movement at all even when I lie really still and concentrate! Has anyone else had these kind of movements this kind of time? And did you feel it too? Thanks em xx

    Do u have an anterior placenta? I had one with my first so I couldn't feel when he kicked or moved but I could see it.

    I have the exact same thing happening! I'm 17 weeks. I didn't think it was possible to see any movement yet, and I can't really feel it inside but when I lay down on my back, sometimes I see a bump on my lower right side and I can feel the outline and then it moves away after a few minutes. I don't have much of a bump yet and I'm pretty thin. It's so strange, I'm definitely asking my doctor when I'm back in 2 weeks.
    Not sure if I have an anterior placenta either.

    Yeah i have my midwife appointment next Thursday so I shall ask but either way it must be a thing as it's definitely happened to me and I really do spend a lot of time trying to focus and feel movement and I can't so it's not that I'm just missing it :-) it's nice to see it move though, my bumps not very big either xx

    It will take a scan, but sounds like anterior placenta is acting like a pillow between baby and front of your belly. I have one, so I only feel movement very low and very high.
