At my 28 week ultrasound baby was measuring in the 8th percentile. I was wondering if anyone else is in a similar situation. We are still testing to find out what's causing it.
Our baby is diagnosed with IUGR since our 19 week ultrasound, it can be a lot of different things though. Chromosomal, placenta problems, fluid problems, problems that the mom has like gestational diabetes, high blood pressure and asthma. If you look up IUGR or growth restriction you can find out a lot of different things. Also if you ask your doctor I'm sure he/she can explain to you a little bit more.
Yes, been diagnosed with IUGR. Doctors are worried so been doing NSTs twice a week and check ups weekly with high risk doctor. Been feeling loads of movement which is encouraging. Doctor wants me to get to 34 weeks (currently 31w) at least and anything after that is sprinkles on the cake. They picked up some problems with the placenta blood flow. I asked if there is anything I can do to help make it better but he said not. Have you been told to do anything different/eat anything different? I also have low fluids which contributes to the fact there is problems. But I was a small baby the doctors were worried about me when my mum was pregnant and I turned out fine. They didn't do all the tests we have nowadays. So I can't help but thinking all will be OK. What are the updates for the rest of you? How's baby measuring? What are doctors saying?
Our baby girl had IUGR as of 19 weeks, she has been behind and her growth is slowing down. I have asthma, diabetes and also some placenta problems. The doctor was worried that they would have to take her at 31-32 weeks BUT I'm controlling my sugars and everything so our new goal is 35 weeks im on bed rest and I go in twice a week for NST, once for doppler and ultrasound and I meet with a doctor everytime. Just like the other moms have said, it can be a lot of things. My only advice to you is that you don't stress too much about it until you get more information and do your research stressing is not good for your or the baby. Just stay healthy and do what you can. Good luck

Our baby girl has been measuring under the 10th percentile since the 20 week ultrasound. She was at 7% at 20 weeks and 1% at 23 weeks. I have no health problems and baby looks great so we don't know what is causing her to be so small. Genetics testing came back normal. Fluid is normal. I now have to go in once a week for doppler ultrasounds and to see the doctor. Every 3 weeks I will have growth scans. I'm supposed to be due in September but dr says I will probably deliver early. Wish I had some answers to why she is so small.
