TMI: Vaginal varicose veins

Does anyone else have these veins and what are you doing for the discomfort of them? I am 35 weeks pregnant and have one but its a little uncomfortable. I hope it will go away before the delivery.

Re: TMI: Vaginal varicose veins

  • I don't have varicose veins but I've had a ton of swelling down under. :(( Padsicles help...Google and you'll find a couple of different ways to make them. The one I do uses overnight pads with witch hazel and aloe vera. Supposedly they're awesome for post-partum care as well.

  • My friend gets them and they can be very painful!!! She wears compression underwear (which I thought would be worse but she swears by it) and ices it when she gets home.
  • Compression underpants are the way to go! I have a VV that needs surgery to be corrected (can't do that till 3 months after delivery) check amazon for the Cebea maternity belt. That's what I'm using. Without it I wouldn't be able to stand more then 15 min. It's a painful heavy feeling in my right leg that almost feels like my hip is out of socket. (And a totally gross feeling that your vag is gonna fall out of your body)The chiropractor helped for a little while but not like compression therapy. Hope you feel better and I goes away after delivery.

I don't have them but I do have one on my leg and Some on my belly. My doc told me not to be surprised if they do show up vaginal. He mentioned using a compress for them.
  • I have them AGAIN this pregnancy!
It just feels so heavy down there.
I haven't found any relief anywhere.
Sorry but I don't think it will disappear before delivery but should do not long after, if you're lucky ( mine did last time )
    Xx
