we still do a bottle at night, almost done with it at maybe 4oz. But cannot do teeth cleaning after this and I know we need to- any advice on either how to ditch last bottle or brush teeth before bed?
My dentist said to give a sip of water after the nighttime bottle to rinse the milk off his teeth. So I brush his teeth during bathtime, then jammies, bottle, sip of water, bed.
We're so bad. We've been suggested to use a toothbrush but we still haven't incorporated it yet. I'm off all summer so we'll get one and start working with it. He's still nursing to bed, so a bedtime tooth brush would be good.
I've wondered this too because I still nurse him, basically to sleep. We brush, book, nurse, bed. If I tried to brush after nursing he'd wake up waaaay too much. I'll start the water trick...thanks @Talltrees82!
I think I read somewhere that it's a bit less of an issue when nursing because the milk doesn't sit on their teeth the same way... At least I hope I read that because we are totally still nursing to sleep and I want to keep rolling with that as long as it keeps working.
