Does baby need LS onesie?

I live in Phoenix so when we take the baby home in the middle of July it's going to be like 110-115 degrees out. Does he need a hat and long sleeve onesie to come home in or would that make him overheat? Do I just bring a short sleeve one and maybe some socks?

We live in Hawaii. We are taking short sleeves, but also taking socks, hat, leggings, and a blanket. That way we can add clothes if needed. She will more likely be cold in the hospital. We dont Have air conditioning in our condo, but it is usually 75-80 degrees.

  • I would dress him in layers. Realistically, he's not going to be out in the heat for long...he'll go from an air conditioned hospital to an air conditioned care to an air conditioned house. The layers will give you more flexibility if he starts to get hot or cold.

  • I have always heard one layer more than what you would wear. I would do a short sleeve onesie and bring along a blanket.
