Where is your baby shower? home or out?

Debating between having it out somewhere (like restaurant) or in my new house which is plenty big enough but not sure if I feel like having it in my house even though I'm not the one planning it. It's definitely more convenient to be in my home so I don't have to make an hour drive to where is most convenient for the guests. Not sure what to do!!

  • I'm having mine in a beautiful Italian restaurants banquet room! You're not gonna want to clean up your home afterwards!

Home is free, don't have to go out of your way or take a car load home.

  • Mines at my friend's bar. Our invites say, A Baby is Brewing. It's co-Ed obviously.
  • My mom is throwing one in a hall and my best friend is throwing one at her house. I guess it's really your preference on whether you want to load everything in the car as well as clean up afterwards.
  • My mom and aunts are throwing mine at a clubhouse down the street. None of our houses would be big enough to accommodate everyone. Plus it's pretty cheap to rent for the day and it's really nice! I'm excited :D

    Love this! Super cute.

I'm having mine at home. We have plenty of space and it's free. Only downfalls are I have a habit of really stressing about how clean my house is when we have guests and once the party is over I can't just leave when I'm ready to be away from everyone so I have to just hope that not too many people will stick around.

  • I'm doing it at my church cause the invite list is about 80. Plus the church is free and just four minutes from my house. They let us use the kitchen and all the tables and linens. Made it an easy choice.

Having mines at a restaurant. It's small and I'm not asking for gifts. I'm a STM so I'm asking them to bring a book for my 1st child and write advice about becoming a big sister in it. It's mainly just a reason to eat with my extended family before having the baby :)
  • My work shower is at a co-workers(the hosts) house. My friends/family shower is at the fellowship hall at the church I grew up at because it was the only free indoor place big enough for all the people being invited by my mom who is helping host the shower.
  • Having mine at my house. Plan was to rent a building but they are booked for the month we wanted. Atleast home is free and i wont have to carry gifts home:) just hoping someone helps me clean before hand!

My friend will be hosting the shower at my house (she lives in a completely different area far away from everyone else). I'm excited for guests to be able to see the nursery at the party, and it will be nice to just bring the gifts right down the hall. :) I've been to nice showers at restaurants in a smaller, separate room. Either is nice! Probably just depends on how much the host wants to spend as having it at a restaurant means purchasing their food which is probably more expensive than having it at someone's house.

Our parents are throwing us one at church, and my best friend will hosting one at this wine bar for our family and close friends.

She's due in August and will be throwing her one at my house in June. I'm already stressing about getting the house clean and all the things I need to do!
  • My shower is going to be at my god mothers house. I wanted to do it at my mom's, but she's farther away, and my god momma insisted. I'm not planning it, so I let my sister figure out the details. Hahah.
  • Mine is in the club house of my grandmothers condo on the golf course. I mostly cared about air conditioning since it will be August!!
  • We were gonna do our house, since my MIL is throwing it and I live with her, but the house is under construction and looking like it won't be done in time :-( so we changed our plans to a really beautiful park, we're having a co-ed bbq. She had to pay to reserve a spot for the day. Free is always better, in my opinion, if you could swing it. But a restaurant or banquet hall would work well too and would mean less clean up for your host. Park will be hot, but we'll make it work!
  • Were having mine at a hall that is part of a church

When I had one my MIL threw it at a country club for me and my hubs and a few of his buddies went golfing while us ladies did our thing. It was perfect, no cleaning and the men were back in time to help load the cars lol!
  • My MIL got a banquet room in a hotel that served a brunch buffet, there were 40 people there (co-ed). A couple of my friends are hosting a shower as well, it will be at one of their homes. So I guess we're doing a little of each!

  • We rented out a tea room in my hometown called The Pink House. They close to the public at 2pm so we are going to do a 230 to 430 type thing and have them cater.
  • My mom is having it at her house. They just expanded the back deck and built a little cabana in the back. Perfect for a low key shower. Just praying for sunshine!
  • This is my second baby shower my first was for a boy and was 3 years ago and was at someone else's home, now we are having twin girls and are having another. My MIL and sister in law are throwing it, but we are having it at my home, that way I do not need to transfer any gifts, and I'm comfortable... And it's VERY low cost! :-). I have recruited people to help clean and decorate, and I'm only doing Major cleaning in the rooms that will be used for the party.
