I'm 36 weeks and my doctor said I am 60% effaced and 1cm dilated... I'm having mild contractions for two days now and I'm concerned I may have my baby early. When did you ladies go into labor once ur cervix started thinning out and dilating?
I'm a FTM, but I have a cousin who went into labor within 2 days of being 60% effaced. She took a couple tablespoons of castor oil to speed things along and it worked wonders! Good luck! :-)
Were the internet. You could get a thousand answers to this very vague scenario. When anyone went Into labor will not determine when YOUR body goes into labor. Every woman's body is different. There's an entire thread devoted to this that states, " no one can tell you when your in labor" Please act accordingly Oh and also..... Your babies lungs are not cooked yet.
Seriously? You didn't like what you got when you asked this identical question a few hours ago, so instead of taking the very kindly worded advice given on that thread, you start another one that is exactly the same and expect a different response? Isn't that the definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results?
Here is your answer. You could go into labor in the next five minutes. Or in five weeks. Maybe you should start another thread asking the same question again and see what happens!
Why did you repost this when you posted the same exact thing a few hours ago? Again, I'll point you to the several threads where this is already being covered.
i look up this kinda thing all the time on the internet. but the truth is, everyones different. i wish there was a straight answer i could give to you, i bet your feeling anxious. i would be too. your so close mama! hoping the best for you n baby. ❤️
I saw a few ladies that look exactly like honey boo boos mom. Very unfortunate. One was on a buggy in Wal-Mart looking like the lady on the scooter from the Cleveland show.
Don't comment if u are gonna be snoody get off ur high horse.
If you're going to ignore the answers you know you're going to get (because this is the second time you've asked the same question in a matter of hours) don't ask for them.
Dilation, effacement, and contractions are COMPLETELY NORMAL, AVERAGE, RUN-OF-THE-MILL symptoms for women in the third trimester and mean something completely different for each and every one of them. If you want to hear about others' experiences, read through the Daily Symptoms thread. If you want to know when your baby will arrive, call a hotline psychic.
sorry you didn't get the answer you were looking for. Take a look at the May board to see if they can offer you any insight on how long it will be for you since they all (for the most part) have just experienced this. They probably have more expert opinions than we do since we haven't gone into labor yet. Hope you can find what you're looking for, if not maybe check with your doctor to see if they can tell you.
Did your doctor check you because you were having contractions? With my first I was never checked until go time so I don't know. I'm 37w3d and haven't been checked. So I was just wondering do they only check if you're having contractions?
And you were directed to the 'Weekly Appointments' thread where the information you are asking after is located. A whole 2 pages of women talking about effacement and dilation. @hoodoll82 even told you where to look the FIRST time you asked this question.
Maybe u should learn to read and comprehend what the question actually is.
Maybe "You" should learn to properly use words before criticizing someone on not knowing how to read. I usually leave people who can't spell alone, but "you" don't get to tell people they don't know how to read when "you" don't know how to spell.
ETA actually, its 3 pages in the weekly appointments thread.

@Emmarae92 And I've been 1 cm dilated and 70% effaced for two weeks and have not had my baby.
So to reiterate, nothing we tell you will help you know when you specifically will have your baby. We are all different. Not sure what else to say here except I'm not sure why you haven't joined us in the weekly appointments or daily symptoms thread where we are already discussing this.
Watch out. The forum police are on patrol today.... Making sure you stick with the right thread. You ladies really have nothing better to do with your time then be rude ?! Who gives two craps if there's another thread. How is that bothering you in any way. Ya'll need to just hormonal thread for how rude half of you are to everyone.
Funny, she tells ME that I have poor reading comprehension but after getting the same answers over and over she somehow still couldn't comprehend what we were trying to get through to her poor thing!

Is there a way the bump could help me get paid for every time someone calls the posters rude or asks if they're in labor or calls us forum police?
Seriously if we weren't all pregnant, I'd say this would make an excellent drinking game.

I think you're looking for "snooty", and you're missing some punctuation.
might as well have fun with this....
