How long after ur cervix started thinning and dilating did you go into labor?

I had my appointment today and was checked and my doctor said I was having mild contractions and I'm 60% effaced and barely a centimeter dilated. All my doctor said was it can come as soon as a couple days or close to my due date so I'm nervous that she may come early. When did you ladies go into full blown labor once u started to efface and dilate?

Hi @emmarae92 this would be a really good question for either the daily symptoms thread or the weekly "appointments" thread. I'm sure some people can tell you their experience but it's not likely to tell you much about what your own pregnancy would be like - everyone is different. I'd rely on your doctor's perspective more than us here! It sounds by your question that you might be new to the boards: if so, welcome, take a look around at a few recent threads and you might find people discussing dilation and effacement in existing threads.
