Just had my anatomy scan and said baby boy weighs 15 ounces at 20 weeks and that everything looked perfect. All my apps say baby should be around 10.5 ounces, should I expect a big baby? Lol
I felt the same way! Last week, at 19 weeks,I had my anatomy scan and they told me 13 ounces but according to the app it was 8.5 ounces! I understand though that every baby will vary. But I had my first belly measurement today at my appointment (I'm 20 weeks) and he said belly was measuring at 22-23 weeks.
At 29 weeks 6 days our twins were 13 & 14 oz. And I was thinking I must've heard or remembered wrong when I saw the app but I know that's what I heard! They did measure a week ahead too. All of my kids measured a week ahead at the 20 week scan and they were all around 8 lbs.
My little girl was 13 oz at 20 weeks 3 days. Honestly, I don't think you can really tell how big baby is going to be this early.
ETA: based on my LMP, I should be 22 weeks right now instead of 21. At 21 weeks, the app says 12.7 oz. I measured a week behind so I may have ovulated late, but then, I'm wondering if little miss will make her debut "early."
Actually when I asked my OB about the baby's weight she said most babies at 20 weeks weigh about the same so it's not a real indication of a big baby necessarily
My boy was 10oz at 18 weeks and I have been having horrible growing/ stretching pains since then so I wouldn't be surprised if he was getting close to that! I'll be 21 weeks on Thursday.
Re: 15 ounce baby at 20w3d.. Anybody else?
