What's your favorite beauty product?

Ladies! I'm always willing to add to my growing collection of make up, hair products, nail polishes, and skin care. The problem is I hate spending money on something that looks promising, only to be disappointed. I have a few favorites, and I'd love to hear yours! What's products can you not live without? Personally, I LOVE Sally Hansen Miracle Gel polish. I haven't been able to go to the salon since being pregnant (the fumes make me gag) so this has been a lifesaver and lasts just as long as salon gel polish. I'm also a huge fan of Benefit Hoola bronzer. Looks super natural and doesn't get cakey. Let's hear it ladies! Tell me your secrets ;)

  • Suave dry shampoo, Hard Candy makeup primer for oil control, and the Amope Pedi Foot File. Love those three things so much! I'm a beauty/product junkie too so I can't wait to see what others say!

So good to know, I have been wanting the Amope for awhile now! Maybe I will invest!

Oh it is soooo worth it! You can buy replacement heads too when one wears out.
  • Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant!!!! It's a bit of a splurge at $54 but lasts forever and I only use it every other day. I find that especially during pregnancy my skin needs to be exfoliated more frequently and this stuff is gentle and makes my skin soft after. It also has salicylic acid which helps with the annoying whiteheads and blackheads I'm getting more often.

Aqua glycolic acid face wash and lotion, seche vite top coat, and Avon (!) magix face primer. For makeup I love the creme blush from MAC

Batiste dry shampoo (because I'm lazy) and ToGoSpa's under eye gel pads! They're amazing! Not sure if you can get them in stores but I order them through the company on Instagram!

I use their dry shampoo too! My hair is pretty thick so I love getting away with fewer washes. They have it for dark hair which I've been wanting to try. My hair is really dark brown so the white doesn't always blend well if I'm not careful about it.
  • Cult favorites: YSL touché éclat and Marc Jacobs eyeliner (the stuff seriously doesn't budge all day). There are other products that I like but those two are the ones I'll just always keep buying.

  • Uh....mascara? Makeup, hair products, polish, body skin stuff goes way over my head. I need someone to put a "get girly" kit for me. Something basic to introduce me to this world. I need to start prepping now for my 3 girls :)
  • Whish lavender body sugar scrub!
  • @emmacake08. I totally agree, Ysl is amazing! And the Marc Jacobs eyeliner is my favorite pencil eyeliner!! For a liquid liner I am obsessed with the Kat Von D tattoo eyeliner. It's super water proof and doesn't budge and is really easy to use. One thing I can't live without is the Dior show maximizer mascara primer and serum, it makes my lashes really long as well as conditions them and helps mascara work better.
  • Loreal's BB cream! If I only put one thing on before I leave the house, that's the one!

Check out birchbox.com! That's how I get my monthly fix on beauty products! $10 a month for 5 samples.
  • I use ipsy. It's $10 a month for a sampling of 4 to 5 beauty products. That way you can try brand name products before you buy them. I've heard good things about Birchbox too but haven't tried it yet.

As far as brands, I love Clinique and Benefit for make-up, LUSH for shampoo bars and skincare, and Purology, Sexy Concepts and Organix for haircare.

But products I can't live without are:
    Mary Kay foundation primer
    Mary Kay eye make-up remover
    Too Faced Lash Injection mascara
    Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum
    Fekkai Glossing Cream
    Organix Morroccan curl creme
Sexy Concepts Soya Want it All leave in treatment
    LUSH Aqua Marina facial cleanser
  • Ooh yeah Paul Mitchell Super Skinny isawesome!
  • Uh oh... a lot of these products I've been eyeballing for a while. A secret trip to the mall where I go and then hide the bags in my car until DH leaves for work may be in order ;)
  • Batisse Dry Shampoo
    NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer
    MAC Face and Body Foundation
    St Tropez Tanning Mousse
    Frank Coffee Body Scrub
    Kiehl's Moisturiser
    Chloe Eau de Parfum
    MAC Lip Conditioner
Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara
  • Naked palette and Estée Lauder sumptuous bold volume mascara. It makes my eyelashes look awesome!!
  • Fun thread! I love beauty products though I'm not a daily make up wearer. Just too lazy. But here are my repeat buys.

Bare minerals original foundation. I can not stand liquid foundations that sit on my skin and BM is the only thing I have found that helps even my skin tone (red cheeks) without me wanting to scrub the painted layer off my face immediately.

Nugg face masks are a splurge but I love them for balancing my skin when the weather changes.

Urban Decay eyeshadow primer potion. I never get a crease and powder shadow doesn't fade away.

Too Faced eye shadow palettes, they come with eye look cards that are easy to follow and most looks are work appropriate. Probably Boudoir Eyes is my favorite palette.

Revalon Colorburst lip balm stain. Lipstick disappears on me within minutes. These stains having staying power but are not drying. The fade is gradual and even.
  • Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs- I apply all over like a self tanner (what you put on is what it looks like until you wash it off with soap and a washcloth) It covers imperfections as well!

Clean and Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets- I have used them for 10 years! Takes the oil off of your face without rubbing makeup off.
  • Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream
    Benefit 'They're Real' Mascara
    Benefit Gimme Brow
    Kiehl's Midnight Serum
    Kiehl's moisturizer
Ole Henricksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster

    BabyFruit Ticker

  • I need a good eye tightening cream. Something you can get at a Walmart type store, if anyone knows of anything!
  • I love love love my face lotion and face cleanser by Alba. It's all natural and I buy it at Earthfare, not sure where else but I'm sure online. I just love the smell and it soothes me before bed.
It's a little pricey, I'm talking $13 for a small tube but it helps with my endless pregnant momma dry skin :)

Check out Roc. They are the best drugstore find for fine lines around the eyes. Not sure if that's the same thing as tightening. I had just started using it when I found out I was pregnant, so didn't get a chance to see results. It's recommended to avoid products with retinoids while pregnant, though the topical form is probably okay, so do what you feel is best.
  • The only things I absolutely can't live without... Suave Dry Shampoo, Mascara, & Chapstick. I don't wear makeup often, and when I do I normally stick with Walmart/Target stuff. Buying expensive beauty products stresses me out because I never know what to get. I need to go to a "Makeup 101" class at Sephora and just buy whatever they tell me to get. I'm clueless, good thing I'm expecting a boy!
