Eeeeeek!

i went to the doctor today for my first NST which was pretty cool. However I was having consistent contractions 5 minutes apart. They weren't painful, my doctor isn't concerned. They are estimating his weight at 6.1 lbs right now (I know those can be way off). My doctor just said my little guy may make his appearance earlier than expected and wouldn't stop labor if it starts as I'm 35 weeks on Friday. I suddenly have a lot I need to get done just in case! Lol so nervous/anxious/excited.

Awe!!! That sounds soo exciting! I could swear that my baby weighs almost that now because he just feels so big inside! But all my babies are 8 pounders at birth. Definitely don't want any bigger lol!!

Oh! Good luck! Yesterday I stopped taking meds to prevent contractions too (I've been taking them on and off since the beginning of this pregnancy) but I'm only 32 weeks, I have an appointment with a new doctor tomorrow and I'm hoping he'll tell me to keep taking them because I know you can take them up to week 35 and I get really bad contractions when I'm not taking them. Right now it's been just a little over 24hrs and I already feel menstrual like cramps! I can't live like this, I know that soon I'll start having contractions.

@mers90 are the cramps a doorway to contractions? I'm 34 weeks on Friday and been having menstrual cramps for two days. But he dropped so I figured that's why. I talked to my doctor and she says it normal unless I see a pattern. Was just wondering if the cramps lead to contractions.
  • I keep worrying I will have a moment of my water breaking in public....he dropped a lot lower and they don't expect me to keep him in there past 37 weeks. I feel like he needs to cool a little longer. His little lungs need to mature....hoping Monday when I go back and they are still consistent that I get a steroid shot to develop his lungs faster.
  • I may be wrong but I think 35 weeks and on the lungs are okay
  • Usually they are but I have GD and that takes them a little longer to develop I've read

I'm 31+6 weeks and my Dr mentioned giving me the shots if my bp didn't level out. He said they don't give the shots after 34 weeks. Just wanted to share what my ob said. Every Dr is different though.
