2nd Trimester

When did you start to show??

I am 13 weeks and feel like I only look a little bloated.  When did you feel like you started to show with your first baby?  And when did your pants not start to fit with out unbuttoning?

Re: When did you start to show??

  • Honestly, I am 26 weeks and JUST started showing last week.. I'm a late bloomer.

  • I felt like I was really showing at about 16 weeks, some people don't really show until 20 weeks and sometimes later. My pants stopped fitting when I was at like 9 weeks but they were tight to begin with and the bloat just pushed them over the edge.
  • good question! I feel like an "in-betweenie" of bloated/fat and pregnant too.
  • ::Checks belly::  Only thing showing is my overeating in 1st tri.
  • Oh gosh, I didn't start to show until 18 weeks- and even then, it was only myself and people very close to me that could tell.

I would say I "popped" at 21 weeks, and now it seems like every week I am noticeably bigger.  Seriously...I swear I am way bigger now than the pic in my sig!  I would say I was 23 weeks when it became obvious to strangers.

  • Showing to those who know me at 24 weeks, but strangers still don't know I'm pregnant. No pants would button (even fat pants) at 19 weeks.

  • I'm carrying super low, so I switched to maternity pants around 16 weeks.  I didn't get a significant bump until 20 weeks though, and now at 24 weeks I think strangers can finally tell I'm pregnant.
  • It really depends for me. First thing in the morning I look great. Just a little bloat. Then as the day goes on, my stomach pops out and gets harder. By the end of the day, it's pretty good size. Very weird.
  • I'm still not showing. People I work with and haven't specifically told what was up haven't figured it out yet, either.

And, my pp pants still fit fine, though I am wearing maternity jeans from ON just for my own personal comfort/peace of mind.

I'm seeing a high-risk doctor tomorrow and am afraid my smallness is a sign of a problem... Lightning

  • I can still button all my pants, but it isn't exactly comfy.

A coworker noticed my belly just the other day, but she's one of my closest work friends and has been watching.

Most people are still asking me if I'm "seriously pregnant" or just pulling their legs.

  • Mrs. Nerychel....I have the exact same thing going on!!!  In the morning I just feel a little pudgy with a tiny bump and in the evening I feel pregnant!?!?  So strange-it leads me to believe it is still bloat :(  DH thinks that the uterus is just pushing the gut out infront-not a very attractive thought either.
  • I just look bloated too. Last night was the first time DH even noticed a difference at all. All my co-workers and family still can't tell any difference.
  • My belly just popped this week (19-20 weeks) and it's now obvious (according to coworkers) that I'm pregnant. I started wearing maternity pants at 13 weeks though because my mid-section started filling out.

  • Haha! I said the same thing the other night: I think our 'lemon' is just pushing out my chubb!
  • 16 weeks.

  • I was a late bloomer too around 26-27 weeks.
  • I started definitely showing even to complete strangers at no later than 12 weeks, but then that's what twins will do to you.  Now everyone thinks I'm about to go into labor at any minute because of my size.

  • I just asked my doctor when he thought I was going to show.  Of course, he really doesn't know exactly when.  But, he thinks it may not be for another 4 weeks or so.

  • I feel like I have a little bump. Some ballsy people at work have asked me, and a few others have gone to my boss to ask. One stranger asked, but I was testing out mattresses and for some reason I can't lay down without putting my arms around my belly anymore.

I'm petite with a short torso, so not sure if that relates.

  • I started showing early--at about 15 weeks. But I still just looked chubby unless you knew me before. I 'popped' at about 20 weeks I think.
  • Just the last few days people have noticed that I have a pouch.  I can't button any of my pants so I am doing the rubber band thing for the rest of this week and I will start to wear maternity stuff next week.

  • I am 19 weeks and really did not start showing until I was about 17 weeks.
  • I just started showing now at 17 weeks.

  • I suddenly counldn't button my pants at 13 weeks.  If I wear a loose shirt it's not obvious at all, but I definitely notice!

  • About 16 weeks, but still only obvious to those who know me well. Pants are tight but I'm not in maternity yet.
  • I'll be 15 weeks on Tuesday, and I feel like I'm showing, but nobody else can really tell. By the end of the day I feel like I have an obviously pregnant belly, and my pants get tight, but in the morning it's still pretty small. I'm still in the "is she pregnant, or just fat?" club.?
  • Between 16-18 weeks to people that knew I was pg, 21 weeks for my first stranger comment.
