Tuesday ran(t)doms

I figured since it is 3:40, and there is no chance in hell of me getting back to sleep, I might as well start one. My 3 yr old decided that she also was awake for the day. She is watching play doh videos on her tablet while I'm about to dive into some Netflix. I have a 10 hr day ahead of me at the salon.... But the pregnancy insomnia has begun.

  • Just relaxing and catching up today :) I think three day weekends should be every week :D I'm getting excited and nervous because our little one can come any day now (she's coming early due to problems, but we just don't know how early) I'm hoping that she can stay in for another 3 weeks (which is our goal) but the idea that she can be here anytime in 3 weeks!? Ah! We still need to get things ready for her to come!
  • I had a nightmare about work a few nights ago and it came true this morning. So glad this is my last week.

Had an allergic reaction to augmentin over the weekend (was on it 7 days before this happened) so on top of all the pregnancy symptoms, I had to deal with a rash and swollen hands/fingers. After a few days of claritin, it's behind me but man, that made for a rough weekend. Just trying to get through these last 8 weeks before I get to meet my little girl!

An ex boyfriend followed me on twitter. I'm grossed out and feeling violated. I still talk to his SIL and found out some disgusting things about him (beat his girlfriend, made her wear long dresses not showing off her body as well as a few other things). I don't want this guy knowing anything about me. I dumped him in 2010, and dropped all contact with him and blocked him on most social media. I forgot about twitter tho.

Through my twitter, I had pics of my stepson and info that I've had kids. My name on twitter is similar to this one so now I'm paranoid he's going to find me here. Ugh

Anyone know about screen name changes on here?
  • I caught a cold that my husband and son had. It's not that bad as far as my other colds that I have had in my life. I just hope that it goes away quickly and doesn't get worse.
  • Am I the only one having problems breathing? I am 33+2 and I seriously cannot catch my breath. I do have asthma and it has been quite muggy here but it seems like ever since I hit 32 weeks I have been really struggling with breathing.

Your asthma and mugginess along with baby squishing your lungs is probably the reason.

There is an asthma flare up post that was just posted recently :) it has a lot of good comments and support for it. I also have asthma and my doctor said that it can go either way. 1/3 it gets worst, 1/3 it stays the same and 1/3 it gets better. Mine is getting worst and I take advair, spiriva and albuterol. Before the pregnancy I also took singulair, but I stopped taking it due to other things that I am taking for the pregnancy and I don't want to take too many meds. Good luck and take it easy :)

I've been having trouble too. LO is right under my ribs.

Well, my boss is being ridiculous and making me attend teacher workdays to plan history curriculum when I do not teach any kind of history and am not returning next year. She even considered making me stay 3 hrs today after I completed everything on the exiting checklist- for what reason, I have no idea.

When I left work I had my first Braxton hicks contraction- and I can't even pretend I wasn't so excited because even though I know it doesn't mean she's coming soon it made me feel like the end is finally near.

On another note... these are my ankles. Are y'all this swollen??! This is getting crazy! So, I joined a pool today.

Lastly, anybody else going to be a stay at home mom next year? I have even so excited but now that I have two days of work left, my husband has been stressed at work and I feel guilty. He has a new job and his boss is fussing at him for inventory being wrong when the numbers are coming from other plants, not my husband. my husband said I hope he doesn't fire me which he later said he was just stressed and overreacting but it is making me feel bad for being so excited about doing my dream job (MOMMY!)
  • @jkp7749 have you been tested for preeclampsia? Excessive swelling and rising blood pressure are warning signs! Be careful!
  • I'm going to be a stay at home mom for the first 2 years! :) can't wait, I'm also going try and promote my photography business more in these years BUT it's just something fun to bring in some side money :D
  • @NicoleS85 now that I'm getting down to my last few days at work I've been answering "how are you feeling?" more truthfully.

    Like...

I just threw up in the trash can
    And
I'm getting kicked in the ribs
    For example.
  • This long weekend was great, but with only 2 weeks of school left I had a hard time getting up today. I took my alarm going off at 6am very personally today. I'm ready for rest! Even if I can't sleep!
  • @Handree haha I know that I really don't want to be on bed rest because it would be so tough and would drive me crazy, buuuut I was totally joking about this with my husband yesterday!
  • My brain is completely mush. I've bought the wrong size bed skirt and didn't even realize it until it was on. I've locked myself out of the house twice in a row (including going to the backyard for the hide key and getting back in both times) and I was cooking, reading the instructions last night. Read 1 & 3/4 CUPS of butter and proceeded to use that much without a doubt. Then realized holy crap that's a lot when I was done. And re read the instructions, it was 1& 3/4 tablespoons of butter. This kid better be a genius because I've completely lost my mind!!!!
  • Had to do the 3 hr glucose test today. First hour was kinda rough trying to keep it down. I will get my results tomorrow. I really hope I don't have GD. The last two months of pregnancy suck enough without having to deal with that.
  • This is my third -- and toughest -- pregnancy. I already pee a little when I cough which is bad enough. Now I have an upper respiratory infection making me cough incessantly. After a few changes of underwear I finally gave in and put on a pad. So ready to be done with this pregnancy!

  • I think I might freeze DH and DS out of the house. I am sooo HOT! I have the ac set on 69 and my poor boys are cuddled up on the couch with blankets while I sit and sweat. Idk what to do I cannot take the heat and it is only highs of 70's here. They only have to put up with it for about a month longer. They'll live ;)
  • My rant is that I have two dogs who I love a lot. But lately their fur is getting on my nerves. They shed like crazy!!!! It never bothered me before but now OMG I just want to shave them bald. And our jack Russell sleeps with us and there is fur every where. I keep telling my husband I don't want her sleeping with us anymore but he's like don't be mean she's our baby. She will sleep on my side. Ugh they all can sleep outside together!! Other then that I'm ok.
  • @lovermyboys luckily my husband runs hot, he gets so sweaty in his sleep.

But at work I get complaints that I have it too cold in there. I'm behind an espresso machine that puts off a lot of heat, so I have everything blasting cold air.
