August 2015 Moms

So tired of being pregnant!

I am so over this pregnancy, I am expecting twins due August 4th. I have an eleven year old already, I work full time and have a husband that is away from home for work the majority of the time, so basically I am a single mom. I have had almost every pregnancy symptom this pregnancy and I am so ready to be finish. I barely sleep, have headaches, swollen feet, abdomen pains from my every expanding belly that I am told is all my ligaments trying to accommodate these two babies, and heartburn. I know all these wonderful symptoms will soon be over but it is really hard to "keep my eye on the prize" with so much going on. My husband has been so great and supportive but I guess that I just need to vent with an audience that can understand the woes I am going through. I'm so tired of hearing people say "it comes with the territory", if you don't want to hear how I am actually doing than please don't ask. I'm not about to lie and say everything is great, just to make other people happy. I do not remember all these issues with my first pregnancy. Granted I was younger, and only having a one baby but this time around is super hard for me. Hope you ladies are having a better go at your pregnancy than I am. Have a great day!

Whew! I cannot imagine what that's like. You may have already.. But look into Moms of Multiples group - hoping there is a local group near you. Almost two months to go for you, planned csection or au natural?

  • I was just told last week that it would be a "miracle" to make it to 36 weeks with my twin pregnancy. Now I am counting down the weeks in a good way - every day/week in is better than out. When you hurt and feel like crap, just remind yourself of that. My whole goal was to bring our babies home from the hospital with us and knowing that's probably not a possibility has kind of put this whole thing into perspective. I'm not saying you can't bitch about it - it's freaking hard as hell and working full time without your husband home has to be miserable. But you can do it, it's only for a short while longer and hopefully the time will pass quickly.

  • I feel your pain! The first time around was all fun and new and exciting! This time. . . ugh! I'm over it! And I feel like all the bad stuff that happens in the 3rd trimester I s starting soo much sooner! Like the heartburn and feeling full and bloated! And my hips are so sore! It's going to be a long and hot 14 weeks until my due date.
