Sick while pregnant?!

I'm 16 weeks & 5 days pregnant.. Just so happens my husband was sick & now it's gotten to me! ..I so want to take some medicine to help the symptoms, but I know I can't.. This runny nose & soar throat is no fun ): Any advice? Besides to suck it up lol. Sleeping all day isn't an option seeing how I must work 4am-1230pm.. Feels like I'm extra sleepy these days, with waking up at 230 am to get ready for work. Sorry for the rant.. Just not feeling good today.

I always seem to feel better from a cold after drinking a ton of orange juice! Not my favourite thing in the world but the vitamin C does wonders!! Good luck with feeling better!

Does your doctor not have a list of acceptable medications during pregnancy? I'm pretty sure there are some you can take. But, obviously check with your doctor!! This is my doctor's list: https://obgyncentreofexcellence.com/services/pregnancy/acceptable-medications/

Yes you can definitely take medicine while pregnant. I came down with a bad cold this morning and a fever (thanks to my husband). My Dr says Tylenol extra strength is safe every 6 hours with afrin or saline spray to help me breathe at night. Drink lots of fluids like orange juice too :-) feel better soon!
