Anyone planning on getting on birth control after their baby? If so, what do you plan on taking? I was on the pill when I got pregnant so I'm scared to go back to that.
I know that I cannot remember to take a pill every day. So I plan to get Mirena again. I had it for about 4 years and then I had it removed so that I could try to get pregnant. It is good for up to 5 years but you can have it removed at any time if you decide you want to have another child sooner.
I was used nuva ring before and loved it. But I can't use that while breastfeeding. I will be getting Mirena and I am nervous about the procedure to get it. Any advice?
I had my first one put in during a surgery so having it put in the normal way is going to be new to me as well. But having it taken out last time was super easy and only hurt for a second so I'm hoping that having it put in will be about the same.
I'm between mirena and the mini pill. There are things that make me worry about both. With the mirena I've heard at least 3 stories from people I know where the iud gets "lost" or implanted in the uterus. That terrifies me. With the mini pill you have to take it at the exact same time every day. With a newborn I'm not so sure I'll be able to do that.
@pistachio&blush I had my mirena inserted today and it was not bad at all. Mild cramping but that was it. I did take an ibuprofen before hand because last week during my cervical check I had pain so my doctor recommended the Ibuprofen.
