Gifts for DS/DD

i have heard about some moms having a small gift form the new baby to their older sibling. DS is 4 years old but I'm thinking its a good idea! He's been talking about a Spider-Man watch at Walmart for weeks, I may scoop it up and make it from his baby brother? Is anyone doing this? If so, what are you planning to get?

I'm doing the same,I have a 4 year old son. I think we might just get him one or two hot wheel cars. He likes small gifts that can easily entertain him.

We built DS a "big brother" swing set( perfect timing since we were planning on this anyway)... Also DH is going to take him to build-a-bear for the first time to make a bear for himself and one for his little sister

We wanted to get this for DS1 anyway, but we got him one of those little tikes trucks that you can pedal around outside. We will present it to him "from baby" when we bring him home.

We've done it each time and I already have their gifts in my bag for this time. This is number four for us due in two weeks and its been seven years since my last pregnancy but it's the one thing I thought was so wonderful we did for the big brother/s each time.

We are getting DS a Glow worm that plays music since I read they can help older siblings that get woken up from crying. We are also going to have DS pick out a gift for LO, probably a stuffed animal since she has none and DS loves all of his.

My stepson is ten so we have been doing stuff along the way. When we did the babies room we completely redid his room ( new paint, carpet, bigger bed). He was beyond excited for that. Tonight we told him the name we picked out which we have been keeping a secret. I think those things have made him feel really good and important.

We found some small stuff for our kids to say it is from the baby. We also plan to have cupcakes at the hospital when they come to visit and sing happy birthday.

We got her a house for we little people and new books from her baby brother. I don't know if she will understand bit it will give her something to do at the hospital.

We are getting DS a 'nest swing' and maybe an iPad Mini, I know it sounds extravagant but he's 6 yrs old, so this is like his whole world changing in an instant.

My parents are going to take my boys to Build A Bear to make a bear (they have Avengers right now) for themselves and their baby sister. Im most likely having a c section so they will do this when I am in surgery.

We had DD pick out a stuffed animal and outfit for her little brother and it's at my parents house wrapped up so she can give him the gift at the hospital when they bring her we also got a book about being a big sister and a few Paw Patrol toys (one of her favorites) as a gift from her little brother that we'll take to the hospital with us to give to her-I am personally a fan of this idea and hope it works ease the transition from being an only child to being a big sister!
