Scared sh**less

so, I've been having contractions off and on, figured they are BH. Now I've had 7 in the last hour and am a little scared. We are flooded in, my doctors office is without power and no answer to the emergency line and the roads are closed due to the flooding. I've decided to lay down and try to sleep. I figure if I hurt bad enough to not sleep then I can call 911. But, being a medic in this county I know there isn't any way they can get to me. Please pray for us and others around us.

Thanks ladies!! I'm drinking some water and laying down now. I think it may have been worse because I was so worried about my kids and husband. My husband is a lineman and has been out in this mess all evening and probably won't be home tonight. Luckily my kiddos calmed down and are able to sleep. Honestly, I know there is no way I could get out of here at all right now and no one could get in either. That may be adding to my stress which I'm sure just makes it worse. A little good news is that I've only had 2 since posting this!

Hope it's gotten better - I second the water - they had me drink 4 - 32oz cups when I had a scare my first pregnancy. And rest.

Great news, they subsided once I was able to relax. Even better, my hubby was able to crawl into bed about 5am helping me relax more. Doctors office and hospital are still flooded to get to and we are still flooded in, but I'm happy to say I don't need the doc anymore. Y'all have an amazing day and thank you so much for the thoughts and prayers!

glad everything subsided! Hope your flooding goes away soon.
I have found that when I am exhausted I have BH. I would imagine anxiety and stress would do the same thing!

Thanks everyone so very much! It doesn't look like we'll be getting a break from the rain, and they have actually ordered mandatory evacuations in our area. It should be an interesting few weeks!

Yeah downtown Austin flooded pretty good too, this rain is a blessing and a curse all together!!
