has anyone bought one yet? I have no idea what to look for when buying one since I don't know what size I'll be. Also, should I go with an underwire? Currently a 38C.
I haven't done much research either but I did read that underwire bras can cause mastitis. Could be wrong but that's what I remember I was slightly disappointed haha
I bought a couple today from Motherhood Maternity. The saleslady instructed me to get one in a cup size larger than what I'm currently wearing (I'm 33 weeks and wearing a 34 C), and it's wireless. She also recommended some soft "sleep" nursing bras that come in S, M, L, and XL because they're good for when you're home with the baby, sleeping, or just need to run to the store or something.
For my first I went cheap with my nursing bras.. bad idea! Don't break the bank, but get something that will last. I used ones with underwire (because that's what I usually wear), and I had a couple for sleeping that were soft and thin. Get a couple to have for when you first get home and see what you like. You can always buy more. As for size, I'm pretty sure I stayed the same, I went up a cup size for one of them and it looked like a granny bra. Most people do say to go up on cup size.
I got cheap ones ($6.00 each) at a discount store by my house. I refuse to spend a lot of money on these things, no matter how uncomfortable I am. They serve their purpose for what I will be needing them for.
I get mine at Target and like them. With DS1, I didn't produce any milk and did not change sizes at all. I had only bought two at that point in my current size. I still only have those two since I didn't really wear them and will not be buying any others or any sizes up until I know if I'll need them.

I've read that underwires are fine as long as you get the right cup and band size. I've found a few bras with "soft underwires". Seems like a good compromise!
For now I just have be nursing/sleeping bras from target because they stretch and I'm not sure how much these boobs will grow once he is born. Don't want to spend money on something that might not fit and then give myself an errand returning it.
