GTKY: Karaoke Version

Alright ladies,
We're in the home stretch. Now is the time to get upfront and real with our GTKY: what is your go to sing along song? Personally, I don't sing karaoke but I get down in the car when I'm away from my husband. My fave is "This Kiss" by Faith Hill. Its just so good. I also shamlessly rap "California Love" by Tupac. Share your faves, I'll add them to my list of car jams

I do a lot of karaoke so I honestly have a bunch of songs I like to sing. My favorite is anything Beyoncé. I am obsessed with her.

This post makes me laugh - a few nights ago DH and I got Chinese food. My fortune said something about, "Somebody will invite you to a karaoke party in the near future" or something similar. I read it to him, he said, "lucky you," and I threw it out. Now here we are a few days later and I am at my "karaoke party" lol. I am not sure what my karaoke song would be, but my friends and I when we were teenagers used to always have "stripper songs" instead of karaoke ones - just our joke of what would be our theme song if we were strippers. Mine was always "Crazy" by Aerosmith. But in the car I love all of the older stuff from middle school/high school - Mariah Carey, Brittany Spears, Beyonce, Madonna....you name it. Not that those are exclusively what I listened to, but they are just great for belting it out!

In my rebel years I once snuck out of my parents house and met a friend. We went to this dive bar and used our fake IDs to get in. Turned out to be karaoke night and we dared each other to enter the contest but we would pick each others song. I ended up winning a massive booze basket. The thing was gigantic. I remember trying to crawl back in my bedroom window with this ginormous basket of alcohol and then thinking "well now what am I going to do with this?" I hid the stuff all throughout my room. Oh gosh, those were the years...

Do you watch Big Bang Theory? If so, this makes me think of the episode where they discover Bernadette was in a beauty pagent and she is singing to the tune of Spice Girls.
