Daddy Diaper Party

My husband and his friends are excited and _want_ to do a guy's baby shower.

The idea is the guys would bring diapers and wipes. My only concern is what if they all bring the same size or we get too many of one size? Should we ask them to bring receipts? (I think that's rude) Or just deal with it?

Any thoughts?

    Diaper parties are very common where I live. Usually most people bring 3's but most stores exchange without a receipt or some of my friends swap!

    Just make sure to tell them to pick a random size, you don't need a lifetime supply of newborn diapers! A lot of my friends have done these and my husband is planning on having one as well. I have never seen anyone have a problem getting all the same size!

    Most stores allow you to exchange without receipt if the package isn't opened.

    You could put a random size number on the invitation and have them draw invites. That way you get the multiples you wanted.

    That is such a good idea! I don't want to be too detailed for them to get scared but I don't want to leave them confused either. I mean, I'm grateful they want to do this! Though I think they just really just want an excuse for me to cook for them.

    I wouldn't assign sizes/types of diapers. If the guy asks, you can let him know, but assigning gifts to bring would come across as kinda controlling/pushy. Just return/exchange the ones you end up not needing, no big deal. :)

    I wouldn't worry about it--you can easily exchange diapers for a different size of the same brand, and most stores will give you store credit for any diapers they carry if you don't want that brand (as long as they're unopened).

    I'd try a few different brands of diapers to see what you like best.
