I got a blood test done at 13 weeks and was told I was having a boy. I was wondering if anyone else had got the blood test done and if the gender was correct for them.? I gave 3 girls now so I was really hoping it was really accurate.
If it was a genetic test, they are looking at the chromosomes, so it is extremely accurate. Especially if it is a boy, since they would not find a Y chromosome if it is a girl. If you really want to be cautious, you can wait until your anatomy scan, but genetic tests like the panorama are more accurate than an ultrasound since it is based in chromosomal sex rather than a technician's judgement on the way a baby's genitals look.
Re: how accurate is gender through blood test?
congrats
