Is anyone else experiencing Urinary retention

long story short, I have been to the ER twice this week due to not being able to urinate on my own. It caused excruciating pain & they had to catheterize me both times. My OB removed it after the first time, & I was able to urinate all day, but next day I was back in the ER

    Yes!!! I had this happen to me two weeks ago (I was around 13 weeks). I googled it and found a bunch of tips (standing in the shower, pouring warm water down there, etc) and was able to get it out on my own. It also suggested emptying out your bladder ever hour or two. It was annoying but that seemed to keep it at bay. I think I am past it now, hopefully you will be too! I feel your pain, it is awful!

    This pregnancy I seem to be in the clear, but with my daughter I had the same issue.  It was terrible!   I went to the ER, and had to have a catheter put in at about 14.5 weeks.  2 days later, I BEGGED my ob to take it out, and they did.  I was able to urinate on my own for a few hours, but ended up back in the ER that night.  I had to keep the catheter in for about a week.  It was absolute hell.  I feel like I was on the verge of depression.  It was the end of August/early September, so it was so hot and humid, and I was walking around with a bag of urine strapped to my leg. If you have any questions let me know!
