hubby isn't budging smh

so, I want a new car but I'm in love with my little Bmw that I am still paying on and hubby won't let me trade it in. Smh even though the space is small, I know that I can keep my car and manage just fine with baby especially once I get my baby orbit G3 car seat. (It's amazing check it out) so I figure since he won't let me get a new car, I will get a new purse that I can wear as a diaper bag! Lol it's cheaper than a new car and I'll be stylin! Lol now he's trying to stop me from doing that!!! He is being a party pooper and a hater all the way around. (He is very conservative and I am verrrry liberal and have my own agenda)

So he better figure out which one he's going to budge on because I'm getting one or the other! Lol this is a fun post, so please share any stories on what your hubby is restricting with big purchases and the baby.

Hubby doesn't really limit my purchases but he is cheap where as I'm not. I got the G3 orbit system also :)
  • Yes mines is very cheap and a saver, I probably should be smart like he is but I am working on that lol. Awwww I'm waiting until August to buy mines...I'm so excited to use it!

Lol too funny! I say go for the purse.

I'm the one who predominantly handles finances. I pay the bills and then budget what's left for gas, groceries, clothes/necessities etc.

I think the most expensive thing I need/want for baby right now is a new crib mattress (toddler is still in crib).

Now I DO want to sell our amazing solid wood and wrought iron bedroom set and upgrade to a king bed but he has procrastinated on that. I'm ready to try to sell yesterday! He wants a bigger bed but just won't commit to getting this done

  • I'm the saver at our house; but I set my heart on a Bed Nest co-sleeper and hubby thought it was way too expensive. I finally talked him around tho -- it really is super practical for our situation! -- and we ordered it last night :D
  • Hubby's the spender in our house too. There's forever parcels coming through the door.... Can't complain too much though as a lot of stuff he buys is for me and our son, without us knowing hehe.
  • Get the purse. It's two in one! And like they say "happy wife, happy life." I want to buy all the baby things, and everyone keeps telling me not to and to wait until my shower! I know that I have 4 months to go, but I feel woefully unprepared!
  • I'm definitely the spender and he's the saver. We've prioritized so we each had a couple things we wanted to splurge on and where to not. Most other stuff we just try to find good deals.
  • We are both savers!!! It's hilarious! BUT when we buy, we go big...and it's easy to do when your both savers!
  • Generally me and my husband are both pretty level headed and curve each others spending, so have both been excited to buy for the baby. We have been very lucky that our parents have offered to buy many of the big bits for us leaving is cash for the fun stuff.
My hubby did make me laugh, after I bought our only 5 baby grows he asks "so there can't be many more clothes this baby needs then" ha! Oh how he will learn.
  • I'm the saver and planner. Hubs is impulsive and quick to spend if he thinks it's there. I don't let him have the account numerous or login info, because he'd spend it.:)
