My LO is 8 weeks old and has started to have some reflux. A friend recommended using a diluted digestzen, a doterra essential oil blend. I have found mixed reviews on whether or not it's safe for babies. Anyone used it?
Not a regular poster. But I was excited when I seen this post! My 8 week old has reflux and was constipated for a few days. I got the digestzen oil and was told to rub a small amount around her belly button in a clockwise motion and... my little one is no longer on reflux meds and poops within 30 mins of me using the oils!! I am believer!! Can't wait to see if anyone else has had good luck with them!
Yah! Please let me know if u have good results also!! Anxious to hear what others think! I was also going to say and forgot in my last post... I was told to mix it w basil and coconut oil so I do that sometimes too. But mainly just use the digestzin plain.
The lady that I got it from wasn't for sure how many times to apply it... I apply it for sure before she eats! But I do it about 3-4 times a day. She is formula only so doesn't eat as much, about 5 bottles a day(day time) and def before bed! If that makes sense.
I've wanted to try digestzen, but haven't yet! I use lavender daily, OnGuard on the bottoms of my boys feet (with socks over them because I don't want it to accidentally end up in their eye) when they are sick or if people are sick around them.. I just read today actually that Fennel helps to alleviate gassy tummy as well.. Just mix a drop in with some fractionated coconut oil and rub it on their belly. I used lots of oils when I was pregnant too. I'm a fan!
Today, LO has still had some spit up but it has gone down and bothers her less. She's had more bowel movements and better naps too. Seems like it's starting to work. I was never much of an oil believer but I might just jump on board if we keep having such good results!
I've used digest zen on lo when he's really gassy, and it's helped. Just make sure you're diluting it a LOT before use, especially on such young babies. I use many other doterra oils as well. Love my oils!
