2 week old doesnt cry a lot

i know this may sound crazy but my 2 week old doesnt seem to cry much. He cries during diaper changes and fusses/cries when hes hungry but calms easily. He is breastfeeding like a champ and sleeps a lot. Seems very different than my dd and its worrying me! I plan on mentionjng at the pediatrician this week but was wondering if anyone elses baby is like this

Re: 2 week old doesnt cry a lot

  • Our first was like that. Enjoy! As long as he's responsive, etc - doubt anything is wrong.

  • My DD is one week old tomorrow and just the same, she's so chilled out, Enjoy
  • My three week old is the exact same way! I keep thinking it's too good to be true and one day she will turn on me. Now that we're nearing one month old I'm thinking she may just be a laid back baby. I am enjoying every second of it!
  • Exact same situation here. Totally opposite of my son. Enjoying it while I can, cause lord knows she will flip like a switch one day lol

My baby was like this until a few days ago. I feel like the more aware he gets, the fussier he's becoming. He's still not like my first though. He's much calmer. But then again, so am i..
Enjoy while you can! I hope it lasts for you!

My 3-week-old is like this too. He's just a super calm and chill baby.
  • My baby was like that until a few days ago. I'm hoping it's a growth spurt and will phase out asap!
  • Well, that sounds lovely! My LO is not mellow at all! She want what she wants and she wants it NOW! We call her our tiny dictator. Hopefully she'll chill a bit as she gets older but I urge you mamas of easy going babies to sit back and enjoy - you never know when things might change!
  • Enjoy it while it last. They sleep a lot as new borns. When they hit 6-8 weeks things can change. Luckily my first was a super laid back baby. And this one seems to be laid back except for when she is hungry. Or if you wipe her with a cold baby wipe.
  • Thanks, that makes me feel a little better
  • My 3 week old is the same :)

My baby is 3 weeks old and she is soooo laid back I sometimes wonder if I really did go through labor and birth because this time around everything has just been so easy! My first DD is very active and needs ALOT of attention, I'm glad this second baby is going to be mellow so my hair doesn't turn grey or fall out so quickly!!! Hahaha
