So long as it is hard cheese or pasteurized soft cheese it is fine.

Not sure what the rule is on eating heated unpasteurized soft cheese but those are cheese I normally not melt.

And now I want fondue :)

  • Eat all the food. We can't promise it won't give you a belly ache but I'm just not understanding how melted cheeses could be unsafe?

I am in the same boat at the moment! All I want with every meal is something with cheese! Aha so long as it's pasteurised cheese it's fine, in the UK now they are also saying now soft cheeses cooked to where they are bubbling is safe...but there might be different guidelines elsewhere!
  • Don't see why not. I've had cheese fries past two days, grilled cheese 3 times this week and a pretzel with cheese twice. Hope so!
  • Thanks because I do eat a bunch of cheese and just hearing all these rumors about not eating certain cheeses and I get really nervous and scared and I don't know lf melted cheese like mozerella or any common cheeses can be bad on the baby
  • Mac and cheese has been my best friend these past couple weeks!
  • Eat all the cheese. Eat Turkey. Eat fish. Don't get it from a gas station in the slums and you'll be fine.

    THIS.
  • I understand your concern. I love eating the white queso cheese dip from Mexican restaurants but I have read that it's unhealthy. I used to eat Mexican 1-2 times a week however now it's probably 1-2 times a month. I still have the cheese dip but I try and do it in moderation now lol.
  • The title is this made me laugh really hard. I just imagined someone just eating a plate full of melted cheese. I think I've done that before, BTW. I have a long personal history of shameless dietary indiscretion. Anyway, cheese won't hurt you. Enjoy.

I used to do this too! Melt cheese on a paper plate and happily scrape it off. Haha.
