losing my mind...just need a quick vent

so my husband is in the military and has been gone his time was suppose to be 3 weeks but any of you that have SO in the military knows that means nothing...we are going on 9 weeks monday will start 10! Well, yesterday my alarm on the ouse kept going off (no one was trying to get in) just going off for no reason and super loud! so I just decided to unplug it hoping it would reset!! WELL NO. so I just had to leave it unplugged. Well, long story short ofter unscrewing that from the wall and opening the front door 4-5 times to make sure the alarm wouldnt sound I looked over to the couch and my 2 yr old was GONE!! I looked every where under beds I think I opened every door in this house looking for her calling her name and NOTHING!! I was to the point were I was looking outside maybe I left the door cracked anything..I was in tears and called my husband who then started freaking out it was the longest 10min of my life! Finally I looked in the garage for the 3rd time she WAS HIDING IN HER CAR BEHIND THE WORK BENCH! I just sat there and cried my eyes out for a good 15min. That was seriously the worst day I have had so far!! Please pray for me that he comes home soon! I am losing it!

  • It must be so hard having your husband away for so long! I hope he comes home soon. And I'm sorry to hear about your scare with your toddler... I can't even imagine the terror of not being able to find her! Thoughts and prayers being sent your way for less stress.

My husband was in the army for some time and while I wasn't pregnant during the time l, I understand how frustrating it is. My Husband would be stuck in the field for weeks with out hearing from him. I was stuck with a car I couldn't drive and didn't know anyone on base. So I can't even imagine how you're feeling. Hang in there!
  • I can't imagine having that kind of scare on top of normal pregnancy hormones. Sending lots of positive thoughts and prayers
  • Yes I can't imagine! mine is career military, a master sergeant in the army. I'm lucky that he's done deploying and will be staying put until he retires. He works mon-fri, basically is in charge of all the recruiters in No Cali... I'm so thankful he doesn't have to move around.. But being active there always is a chance if something were to happen he could get orders.. It's very slight for him at this point but it's still there. I too give props to those who have to go without the support :)>-
  • Oh wow, your nerves must be absolutely shot. I hope your husband is able to come home soon.

  • Thank you to all the military families and the sacrifices your making. Whilst it probably doesn't make it easier, we
Appreciate everything you do. I hope he comes home soon.
  • Thank goodness! That would have been scary for every momma!

God BLESS everyone that is serving or served for our country. O:-)
  • Oh you poor thing! I would have lost it! Praying he's home soon
  • That sounds terrifying! I'm glad your daughter is safe! I hope your husband comes home soon, I'm thankful to him for his service!

thank you everyone for the kind words!! we are hoping next week but I think he has been saying that for a couple weeks now :(
  • Aww I'm sorry you had to deal with that ! I definitely have been in your shoes with DH being gone...both DH and I are active duty and i know it really sucks when we have to be apart. Unfortunately it comes with the military life the whole "I'll be home on this and that day" and then it changes =/ Mine will be leaving for a couple months here shortly unfortunately so I'll be in the same boat you are now. But keep your head up, its just for a short period of time and he'll be back !
