I'm a mom of a 6 week old and wife of a police officer, living in Omaha NE. Show your support for our men and women who risk their lives for us every day! This has been a sad week for not only Omaha, but nationally.

    This is heartbreaking! I lived in Omaha during my college years & grew up in a town just minutes from where she went to high school. My heart goes out to her family & work family.

    DH's father was also on OPD and shot in the line of duty way back in the day. Fortunately he survived. Hearing my DH & MIL recount that experience is sobering & I can only imagine how her family feels. I hope they can find some peace during this difficult time, and may her little girl know what a hero her mother was.
