Hm, all of the tests that I use have a 2-3 minute wait period. I cover the stick up (or move it out of view) and usually scroll through Facebook to kill time.

Oh! I've only used 2 brands, but I just assumed they were all at least 5 min. Sorry!
@jennymack79 -- I'm actually kinda jealous! I could get more things done waiting for a 5-min result! I wouldn't feel like need to just stay sitting on the toilet.. awkwardly... staring at my phone... or things in my bathroom...
Two minutes somehow go by both quickly and painfully slow at the same time.

One time last week when I was more dependent on crutches, I went to the bathroom and spontaneously decided to test with an opk while there. BUT, I didn't have my phone, DH was outside and couldn't bring it to me, and I didn't want to crutch to go get it, so I COUNTED five minutes in my head. It was awful, yet oddly not boring at the same time.
I usually read my tampon box, because it's the closest thing to the toilet... Not that I need to read those instructions anymore. I have PLENTY of experience. -_-
No preg tests yet but when I do an OPK, I brush my teeth really well, floss, scrub my tongue, use mouthwash... my dental hygiene has greatly improved.

I usually walk out of the bathroom and forget to set a timer and go see way past the time (like an hour later). I've wasted too many tests lol but I did this when I got my bfp too, I set it on the counter and got busy doing something else and remembered and thought "I better go throw that out" and there were two lines. I stared at it forever and then confirmed with a digital (which was easy to wait for!)

I'm going to steal this! Seems like a productive way to pass time.
I usually just set a timer on my phone and put away laundry or hop in the shower. It sucks having to dry off my hands to reach out of the shower though. Not safe, very slippery.
I've only taken two so far, but I just set a timer and then go do something else in another room. The first time I was a bit nervous, but the second time I was just, "Meh, it's going to be a BFN anyway."
I usually POAS first thing in the morning and that's when I work out. I have found that it takes exactly 5 minutes to get dressed for the gym, put my hair up and wash my hands! I'm a pro now haha

I'm impressed with all the staring. I can't do that, makes me feel too nervous. I go make the bed or do other small chores. I pretend like it doesn't exist (which doesn't work), and when I glance back at it that it's a big surprise (not fooling anybody).
Re: GTKY: The 5 Minute Wait
I'm boring lol

But sometimes I wander around the house doing mini chores until my timer goes off. Anything to avoid staring at the test! :-)

With opk- I am normally guessing the timing, example- if it's a positive when and I had sex last night, was it good timing.
