    Week/Fruits: 34 butternut squash

    Twin Type (Identical/Fraternal/etc): Fraternal

Symptoms: Round ligament pain & BH

Appointment AW: ultrasound this morning - twins are measuring right on track & evenly!

Questions/Comments/Complaints/Concerns: I thought it was optimistic to get to 34 wks given how I was feeling between wk 31-33 but now I'm convinced we'll go all the way to our 38 wk induction. Not complaining, in fact, we're really glad. Just funny that a week ago I was convinced that I'd pop early

GTKY: What's the first thing you can't wait to do with your twins?

I can't wait to see our kids play with each other. Our toddler is so sociable & adores other children (& babies) so we think he'll be a great big brother.

  • Week/Fruits: 35 Coconut

    Twin Type (Identical/Fraternal/etc): Fraternal Boys

    Symptoms: not too much, BH's

    Appointment AW: tomorrow

Questions/Comments/Complaints/Concerns: when to doctor on Friday. I was having a lot of BH's so they put me on Procardia until my next appt tomorrow. And I'm 1cm dilated Thinking about moving my csection date up sooner than June 1st. Nervous about csection!

GTKY: What's the first thing you can't wait to do with your twins?
I can't wait to see my husband with the twins.
  • Week/Fruits: 33 weeks Durian

    Twin Type (Identical/Fraternal/etc): Fraternal boy/girl

Symptoms: Braxton Hicks, heartburn, RLS at night.

Appointment AW: at my appointment last week both babies were measuring 4 lbs and my cervix was still long and closed.

Questions/Comments/Complaints/Concerns: I am super sick of food and constantly feeling full. I try really hard to eat calorie rich nutritious food but it's still tough to eat enough, especially because all I really want is fruit.

GTKY: What's the first thing you can't wait to do with your twins? I can't wait to introduce them to DS, he's only 20 months old and gets excited about every thing. Hopefully the excitement will last past the first 5 min.
  • Week: almost 35/almost coconut

    Twin type: fraternal team green

Symptoms: sore fingers, especially in the morning, shortness of breath

Appointment: my last growth ultrasound was today. :) 5 lbs 7 oz and 6 lbs!!! Everything looked good. NST tomorrow (weekly) and ob appts weekly starting next week. Scheduled section June 11 at 38 weeks

    Comments/concerns:
Seeing all these birth announcements (especially the twin mamas) is freaking me out! I know we're all getting close, but now I'm feeling like it could truly be any day now. And I'm not ready yet! I'm scared of going early, especially since the NICU in the area is in a different hospital 45 minutes away. (Our hospital's nursery is level 2, I think, and can supposedly do anything but ventilators). So, babies, stick around so you don't need to be airlifted to the NICU!!!!!
  • Week: 35

    Twin Type: fraternal girls :)

Symptoms: very distinct waddle lol, sore, tired, inability to sleep, babies dropped so I can breathe (yay!), really weird pouch of water and fat under my belly that's super painful to the touch (like the skin), hard time getting up and down, Braxton hicks.

Appointments: Had one last week and my cervix is still very closed. Next week I have my final ultrasound and another appointment.

Concerns: Just hoping to have these babies soon! They're big and I'm uncomfortable. A little nervous about pushing out 2 babies and all that that entails. I really would hate to have to have a c/s for Baby B. But I'll take healthy babies over anything else.

GTKY: I just want to snuggle them! I love newborn snuggles and this will be double the snuggles. I'm also looking forward to being home with the hubby and DD for 2 weeks after they come. I know it will be a lot of work but I love just spending time as a family!

Our twin B is breech so we're hoping to avoid a double whammy, too, but I know what you mean about doing what's best for the babe. I'm having a hard time getting around, too! LOL our toddler immitates the grunts I make and it cracks us up.
  • Week/Fruits: 37/ winter melon

    Twin Type (Identical/Fraternal/etc): Fraternal/ boy/girl

Symptoms: babies heads are still up by my rib age which is super uncomfortable, been having some serious back and hip pain. Sleeping is impossible and I have been feeling nausea with no appetite.

Appointment AW: We have our last ultrasound Thursday and final doctor appointment Friday. C-section is scheduled the following Friday.

Questions/Comments/Complaints/Concerns: They did measurements last week and Baby A is 5lbs 9oz, Baby B is 5lbs 8oz. I'm just curious how accurate these measurement are compared to when they come out.

GTKY: What's the first thing you can't wait to do with your twins? I can't wait to see what they look like and I just want to hold them and kiss them.

@hailee8706 I've been so nauseous today! I've been getting migraines so I can't tell if it's hormones or migraines causing it, but I can't shake it.

We had our first early labor scare at 34 + 2. BH contractions turned into 30 second contractions every 10 minutes & within 45 minutes got down to 45-60 second contractions every 5 minutes. I was really nauseous and my stomach started flushing so I went into L&D. Sure enough, I was dilated to 4 cm. Six days ago I went in for an NST & was fingertip dilated, had contractions, but a negative fetal fibronectin. My OB was surprised that I was in the 1% of people that the FFN fails, but I tried to warn her about my mean cervix lol

They put me on an IV & gave me a shot of terbutaline which made me feel absolutely awful. They ran the standard labs and did the Group B swab just in case we could;t delay labor. I needed a doze of zofran in my IV to counter the terbutaline, but after 7 hours my cervix didn't dilate beyond 4 cm so now I'm home until my contractions become regular again or my water breaks. I didn't get much sleep and my uterus feels like it's at the end of its rope from all of the cramping and contractions, but at least the contractions are irregular again.

I'm a little bit annoyed with my girl friends that seem to be in a rush for our twins to be delivered. As much as I appreciate their excitement, I don't think they're being sensitive to the fact that we really want to avoid as much NICU time as possible. We're happy to have them in the womb as long as they need to stay in there!

Yep we were able to leave the hospital with the girls in 48 hours :) they are doing great! They were worried about jaundice and had to have their blood drawn everyday for the last week :( but their levels are going down and they are doing great! Good luck to you ladies as your due dates and scheduled c sections approach! Here's our girls at a week old. Both about 5 lbs :) oh and one has brown hair and one has blonde hair! That was the most exciting part of labor, seeing what they looked like when they were born!
