Originally I was going to ask to share your registry but - good point! - it could include personal information that you might not want the world to know! So, instead, share something or multiple things on your registry that you are really excited about!

@Frogger5 and @Clorette2 DH agrees I have expensive taste. I'm not going to cry about it if no one gets it for us, just like with anything on any registry, it's just a wish list. I might be tempted to buy it myself if no one gets it though.
Is anyone else super excited about the baby items you have picked out?

You know your baby will pee and poop and vomit on that expensive sheet, right?
Also about the crib sheet, did you notice that it recommends it be washed on a delicate cycle or hand-washed? You might be awesome at laundry, in which case go you, but I need my stuff to be robust enough to handle my laundry skills/interest.
I'm a huge believer in babies needing very little, but for each of my babies I have bought a hand knitted hat and bootie set from a local craft store, which I can keep after they have outgrown. So it's a little tradition that I really enjoy going and looking at all the aodrable hand-made things and picking out something a bit special. Plus I get to have a giggle with the little old ladies who run the store.

Wow a chair for 550? My whole nursery furniture set crib+2 dressers was about 600. I cant imagine spending so much money on any of items. The items are cute but do you really want to handwash the 68 dollar sheet every 2 days adter your child's diaper leaks on it or he vomits on it?
Thanks for everyone's comments, however this post wasn't meant for people to judge my budget or choices. Yes, I understand the price and maintenance of all of my choices.
I was hoping people could share some of the items they were excited about using or receiving. I love looking at baby items and getting ideas and that was the point of this post.
@jonesl12 I love West Elm! So classic and sleek. That's a great chair!
@brita722 The animals are all handmade and can be personalized with a little monogram. So adorable! I think they make a great heirloom toy.
@ktyrd007 I understand how you feel that's why it's so hard to post on this board sometimes. Someone ALWAYS has something negative to say which is frustrating. Anyway, I'm registered at Target. I have 4 big ticket items on my list which include a travel system, a twin bed mattress, a swing, and a bassinet. My shower is on Sat and only these big ticket items have been purchased. My friend said I have only "cheap stuff" on the registry. However, I live in NY and I know my circle VERY well. These people are "money in a card" people. I'm grateful to have the big ticket items out of the way though!!!
@akanini Thanks for your post! What bassinet did you pick? I've been debating between getting a separate bassinet or using a 'newborn napper' style pack n play. As for your shower - money in a card isn't bad at all. At least you'll be able to purchase what you really want and need afterwards!
I just ordered this baby bag from Vera Bradley, along with the matching changing pad clutch, last week... I received it yesterday and it's so pretty and functional. I can't wait pack it up and use it. I also have expensive taste so catching this bag, in a pattern I love, on clearance was such a find! I actually got an additional 30% off the sale price due to last week's online promotion, so I only paid $41.30 for this bag that originally retailed for $118. Stoked!
My favorite little friend from Hazel Village is Catalina Mouse. Thank you so much for sharing this site! I love these handmade animal friends and totally plan to order one, and with a monogram... once the name is finalized, that is.
@brita722 Very cute Vera bag! And the sale certainly doesn't hurt! My name is actually Catalina so I too love the Catalina Mouse!! Right now we have both the foxes and the mushroom rattle on our registry but I almost hope no one buys them so we can get them monogrammed after baby is born!

No one was judging your choices...it was just several second plus time moms advising you that once the baby is born, you're unlikely to have the time to hand wash and line dry a crib sheet every couple of days, regardless of its cost. And that it would likely get destroyed in short order, as crib sheets often do, so to make sure the price is worth it to you.
I'm a FTM as well, but one of the qualifications for everything I registered for was that I be able to machine wash and dry it. I get annoyed enough when I have to hand wash and line dry my own clothing, and that's once a week at the most. I can't imagine how often I'd have to do that with baby stuff. I also decided to get about 7 crib sheets, each below $15, instead of just a few pricier ones...so I'd have to do laundry less often. Hopefully.

Huh. I actually appreciated experienced moms telling me when something I picked out would be useless, or that I should prioritize money elsewhere, because something expensive I had picked out would just get destroyed.
But go ahead and spend nearly $70 on a crib sheet that you need to hand-wash if you want. We were just trying to warn you.

Wait why are you registered for a twin mattress for your baby?

So far I only have a crib that I'm still on the fence about because I'm not sure what colors I will paint the nursery https://tinyurl.com/nla24t5
