Home Doppler

has anyone purchased one? If so where and what kind. I feel like a crazy lady, but I've been spotting through out my whole pregnancy so far. I'm almost 15 weeks and miscarried last year. I'm always a nervous wreck something is wrong.

Re: Home Doppler

  • I got mine through ebay. Sonoline B.

  • Are you happy with it?
  • I have the sonoline B also. I've enjoyed it so far, first picked up the heart rate at 8.6 weeks. I use it once a week or so, and will probably use it even less once I can consistently feel baby move. But it's been nice to have after a previous loss. Well worth the money for the peace of mind it brings.
  • I also have the Sonoline B and have been very pleased with it.
  • My Doppler has been the best investment for me! We suffered a miscarriage recently in January, so this has been awesome to keep my mind at ease until I can start to feel baby move :)
  • I have had great success with mine, I'm 12 weeks!
  • I got a $20 one off a buy and sell page works like a dream! Even let's me record my little blob beating away :) I'm 16 weeks

I got an angel sounds on Amazon. I wasn't looking to spend a lot of money and it was relatively cheap. I didn't think I would get much out of it but I was able to find the heart beat at 10 weeks! It took a while the first time but after that it's been really easy. Also- don't worry about buying the ultrasound gel, I put coconut oil on my belly every night and can find it using that.

I rented one through Baby Beats for 3 months (until I start feeling movement). It is pretty reasonable if you are looking to just rent and not own.
  • I just want to point out that I've read if you use lotion or oils it can cause more static and the static can ruin the wand part of the doppler eventually. The lady that had mine before used oil and I have been as well and I've noticed that it's been finicky on actually displaying the heart rate lately

  • I got my Angelsounds from Groupon goods for $25, and it's awesome! I heard the hb as soon as I received the doppler (about 11 weeks- had to have a super full bladder, and it took a while, but it was there!), though it's much easier to find these days (14 wk5d). It also plugs into the computer, so I was able to record the heartbeat and email it to family who live far away :)
