I haven't actually used one but I think there was another post about these on here and a lot of people suggest the sonoline b I have looked it up the best price I found was on eBay for $34
https://www.contecmedicalsystems.com/sonoline-handheld-pocket-fetal-doppler-p-174.html I got this one and have been using it since week 8. I am now close to 10 weeks. I hears it st thr Dr first so I knew it was there. I only do it when my husband is home and when I can get to the Dr if it's not there, and only once a day if that much. I normally only do it when I get super nervous. Ive had a lot of miscarriages so..
We purchased the Sonoline B as well and have been able to hear the baby since beginning of week 9. I usually listen once a day in the mornings (seems to be the easiest time to find heartbeat) and video it for my hubby since he works away from home 3 weeks at a time and also for our close family:) They love getting the msgs and getting to hear baby as well. I have had a miscarriage before this pregnancy and getting to hear our gumdrop helps me feel reassured everything is okay and its just sweet to hear in general! Hope this helps:)
I have the Sonoline B too. After reading a ton of reviews I bought this really early on. I've been able to find the HB every time I've used it since 9w4d (the first time I tried). If you get one make sure to order a bunch of US gel because you'll go through it super fast.
It's the 3hmz one too.... But I was also told I had a tilted uterus during my last mc... if that has anything to do with it? Idk I'm just freaked out now. :-SS
I only suggest getting a Doppler if you know how to use it. I have heard so many horror stories of people freaking out bc they can't find the heartbeat bc they weren't using it correctly.
Lol i do know how, and my sister is an RN on labor & delivery ... She does it all the time & she couldn't find it either... Oh well not gonna stress over it, I'm sure everything is fine... Maybe my baby is just being stubborn.
Yea don't stress, this is the reason I am up and down about getting one. As much as I'd love to hear the heart beat daily, I think it would become an obsession and would bring out extra worries if I can't find it. Think I'll stay away from purchasing one for now.
I wish we never would have tried until I was further along, because I read online most people won't pick up until 15-16 weeks anyway..... I'll probably just not ever use it honestly... Or bring it to my next OB app and ask him to locate the heartbeat with it... If he can't I'm giving it right back to my sis bc it's trash lol. He had no trouble picking it up on his though! But theirs is like... Super duty, they mean business type of dopplers...

I've read on other forums that women with a tilted uterus often have trouble getting a heartbeat on a home doppler. I'm sure baby is healthy and just hiding in there!
Another thing is... We don't have the gel... I've been using lotion, which she used on herself and found it around 16ish weeks... Maybe that makes a difference too
Yes, transmission gel makes a HUGE difference. Your local drug store may order some for you if you ask them. I work in a pharmacy and ordered some. Its very inexpensive. Also, my uterus is also tilted and my baby likes to stay VERY low and I mean like right under my c-section scar low.lol not sure if it has anything to do with the tilted uterus or its just a comfy spot but try around that area. I am sure your sweet baby is just fine! Dont stress:)
I've got one and I'm 12+1 and a midwife and haven't been able to find it. Even with a good Doppler at work. It's common not to find it until 14 or so weeks because they can move so much

I used lotion, and i was determined to find it... I did, it was ALOT higher up than I thought (right below my belly button) and it was 140 bpm (13 weeks Thursday).... You can see my bump is actually a baby bump now lol! The big part of the bump is where I found the heart beat at... Weird a week ago it was between the belly button and pelvic area.. It was very touchy still I couldn't move it a centimeter from the spot and had to point it more towards the vajajay lol... \:D/
I rented my at home Doppler from dopplers to diapers and just received it today. I am 10wks and 5d and found the heartbeat. It took at least five minutes to find. The baby was moving around lots because I could only hear it for 10 seconds or so then I would have to find it again. Super happy I now have this and will be using it every night. It's comforting to know that baby is doing good since I've had no symptoms so far.
I have an Angelsounds that my sister sent while I was prego with DS. I was ou of town from 9-11 weeks, so just under 12 weeks by the time I used it this pregnancy, but I was just over 10 weeks when I heard DS for the first time. You can actually pull up videos on youtube to help show you how to use them and where to look.
Don't freak, I'm 12 weeks and found it but it was saying it was only 90bpm which is not good at all. I'm hoping I'm just doing it wrong...
Is it possible you may have heard your own blood flowing? That sounds closer to an adult's heart rate than a baby's. When I had my Doppler during my last pregnancy, I sometimes found my own pulse rate, which sounds similar to baby's but much slower. I will not be getting a Doppler for this pregnancy because it definitely caused me more stress than I had anticipated. I know lots of women find it comforting to have one but I would get really anxious if I couldn't locate the heartbeat, so I'm not putting myself through it this time.
Has anyone with twins tried an at home doppler? At our appt this week, our Dr had a harder time finding the 2nd beans heartbeat with a transvaginal wand because it's slightly behind the 1st bean. I'm just worried I would only hear the one.
