1) would you rather have 9 mo of insomnia and an infant that sleeps through the night or 9 mo of great sleep and a colicky infant ?
2) would you rather have a delivery nurse/doc that talks about you in the third person or a midwife who constantly tells you you're doing a beautiful thing on repeat ?!
3) would you rather your birth coach have horrible rotten egg breath or birth coach be distracted the whole time by the World Series?
4) would you rather have psychotic mood swings and only gain 25 lb or be the nicest pregnant lady ever and gain 60 lb ?
5) gigantic cankles for just 9 mo or your feet grow 2 whole sizes and stay ?
Re: Pregnancy another would you rather....
2. Midwife who tells me nice things
3. Distracted birth coach
4. Nice and 60 lbs
5. Gigantic cankles (makes sense if I have to gain 60 lbs!)
1) 9 months of insomnia and an infant who sleeps through the night!
2) Delivery nurse that talks about me in 3rd person. I don't care if it's a beautiful thing...I'm just going to want him out!!!
3) distracted by the World Series. I'm sure that would be annoying but I don't really want my husband all up in it anyway. I'm a FTM so maybe this will change once I'm in the delivery room. Plus I can't take bad breath. I will throw up.
4) Nice and gain 60. I can't stand mood swings!
5) gigantic cankles! My feet are already huge. If they grew two sizes I would never find shoes!
2) delivery nurse talking about me in the 3rd person. Although I did babysit for a kid once who spoke of herself in the 3rd person ..... So creepy that kid. She might of been possessed.
3) bad breath...... I'm a crazy person and probably need the support. So the distracted birth coach would piss me off! ESP if your paying them.
4) psychotic mood swings. I already feel like I have them!
5) I have size 10 feet so I pick the cankles. I'm already nervous about shoes after delivery!
2. I would much rather have a midwife that tells me nice things over and over, I can't stand when people refer to themselves in the third person
3. The distracted birth coach, the bad breath would probably make me throw up
4. I'd rather have the mood swings-there are some things that are not considered polite that I would really like to say to people and then I could blame it on the mood swings
5. I would rather have the cankles, I kind of have these right now and at least they'll go away!
Another amusing one today @klkonwi, thanks!
2) OB who speaks about Caity in the third person lol. It's terrible but Im a bitch when in pain and all i get is positivity.
3) Distracted birth coach, which could happen if I go into labor during hockey playoffs
4) Shamefully, I'll take the mood swings. Being nice is overrated HAHA
5) Cankles
2) medical team who speaks in the 3rd person. It's just random enough that I would probably be annoyed at times, but I would also probably be into it other times and play along
3) a distracted birth coach. Considering the time of year it will be, coach will likely be distracted by the Stanley Cup playoffs, and in that case, it would distract me too
4) I'll take the extra poundage. I don't like riding an emotional rollercoaster. I'm a Capricorn, we're solid people
5) the cankles. Two sizes up would put me at a size 11. No thanks. And already I'm afraid I've gone up half a size or so.
Lots of fun @klkonwi!
2. Super positive midwife. I respond well to positivity - and if she not only said that labor was beautiful, but that I'M beautiful, even in labor, that would probably help keep me positive too! Haha
3. Oh gosh definitely distracted birth coach. I would be super irritated but I'm really sensitive to smell right now and bad breath in particular is not something I've been handling well lately.
4. Nice lots of weight gain.
5. Cankles for sure - I wear a 10, too!
2. Midwife. I might want to strangle her at times, but I would question the sanity of the person speaking in the third person.
3. Bad breath. I figure when you are in labor you can quietly tell someone they need gum. Lol
4. 25 pounds. I'm already nuts.
5. Definitely cankles! So far my feet are the same and no heartburn... the two things I am most grateful for this pregnancy.
@klkonwi fun! I couldn't do the last one because I couldn't choose!
1) 9 mo of great sleep and a colicky infant ? Colicky-ness only lasts a short time. I can deal. DS was colicky.
2) would you rather have a delivery nurse/doc that talks about you in the third person
3) birth coach be distracted the whole time by the World Series Cannot deal with bad breath, period.
4)be the nicest pregnant lady ever and gain 60 lb ? Did this the first pregnancy. You can lose the weight.
5) gigantic cankles for just 9 mo
~~~ EDD for Baby #2 6/28/15~~~~
2) overly positive midwife. I would loose my shit on the "third person" OB.
3)distracted birth coach. Wouldn't be much different than my husband was last time. He didn't know what to do. Maybe he should have started with reading the book/manual like I asked him to. Ugh men!
4) Agro pregnant lady and only 25#. I gained 50 last time and it took me a while to get it off.
5) Cankles. I gained 1 1/2 shoe sizes with the last pregnancy if I gained two more I'd be in the 12-13 range. [-X
Thanks for these fun threads!
2) nurse/doc that talks about me in 3rd person.
3) coach that's distracted by World Series. Bad breathe = one of the worst things ever to me right now!
4) nicest pregnant lady ever - it seems to be only me that has a problem with weight gain, DH would be cool either way so that helps...crazy mood swings I'm not sure he'd be as cool with.
5) cankles! I love my shoe closet too much to give those up!
2. 3rd person. . Too much positivity when I'm in pain is super annoying
3. Distracted birth coach
4. I'll take the mood swings.
5. Cankles, for sure
