Re: ***Second Trimester Check in 5/19***

  • Hello Ladies! Sorry I haven't had a chance to into the check in from last week. My grandmother passed away and I have been out of town and working since it happened. Hopefully everyone is updated now.. if not please let me know and I'll fix it.

AFM I had an appt last week. My obgyn said that everything looks great and that I am right on track with weight gain and my vitals all looked really good. I have to schedule my glucose test in about 3 weeks and I have a sono (YAAAA!!!) on June 4th. Oh I can't wait to see my little girl! She has been moving a bunch lately which is really cool to feel. I have been hating the heat. It went from freezing to hot as hell here in MD.

QOTW: I live for Ritas right now. A wild cherry Italian ice is my favorite!!

    Hello.

I'm am 21 weeks along. I have no appointments this week. It's nice to have some time off. Next week I have to go into get another US to check up on my Subcutaneous hemorrhaging. It's left over from a bleed I had around 8 weeks.

My favorite thing papering activity is sipping iced coffee or a chai late. Soon I'm going to start brewing my own iced coffee using decaf beans. :)

  • I'm so sorry again about your grandma @Justone13 :(

Chugging along with the babies. I'm getting BIG. I look ~8 months. It's going to be a long summer. I miss my normal size bladder and my pants are already getting tight! But I wouldn't trade the feeling of them kicking for anything :)

QOTW- we're a cold-loving bunch! I'm treating myself with 7eleven slurpees and baskin Robbins PB choc ice cream. And sonic slushes. Really- anything cold. I'm going to get a pedicure after we finish moving this weekend.

    Pregnancy Ticker

  • Hi all! I'm 27 weeks 5 days and still pregnant!! I'm anxiously waiting for Thursday to reach the big 28 week milestone. I'm still on hospital bed rest. Sunday night I was showing a lot of uterine irritability and a contraction on the monitors. So they started iv fluids again. Everything calmed down and has been stable now (knock on wood). I had my one hour glucose test on Sunday and failed so I take the three hour tomorrow. I had a detailed sono this morning. They're estimating him to be 2lb 15oz and his measurements come out to be 29 weeks 2 days. With my case the bigger he is the happier I am. I probably have GD since he's measuring big so I'll see after my test tomorrow. Also my AFI was a 10!! I couldn't believe it. Fingers crossed he's getting his lungs wet with the fluid I have. Oh and we finally decided on a name....Ryan Patrick :)

QOTW: I pamper myself by showering lmao. Hospital bed rest sucks and a shower makes a works of a difference! So glad I'm allowed to shower daily again :)

  • @Justone13 - so sorry to hear about your loss.  Sending T&P your way.

Had bloodwork done yesterday but won't have another sono until June 4th - patiently waiting.  I'm at the point where I feel better but don't really feel any movement so I'm dying to make sure baby is ok in there! :(

QOTW - Ices, fruit - anything refreshing!  Also love getting a mani/pedi.

    Hello,

Sorry to hear of your loss @Justone13. Wishing you and your family comfort.

Had a doc appointment on Monday and all was well. Nothing more scheduled until 6/24 when we have our 20 week us. It kinda feels like the docs are looking at us like space aliens because we opted out of genetic testing. Is this totally abnormal??

QOTW: Pampering myself these days involves doing absolutely nothing! Between work and being a full time grad student, I enjoy the hell out of my down time.
  • cshm11cshm11 member
I'm 21w1d today. We had our anatomy scan on 5/26 with the MFM and it went great! Little miss Amelia is healthy as can be and weighed about 13 ounces!! She is a cutie pie :)

I'm on preterm labor precautions (aka "take it easy" orders but not true bedrest except for 4 days before my scan). We will discuss 17-P injections at my appointment on 6/2.

QOTW: bath time with a candle and some soda, juice, or (my favorite) sparkling cider! I have a corner soaker tub, and I put a candle on one corner, fill it up with hot (not too hot) water, and take a nice soak. I want to get a pedicure this week too.
