Good morning ladies! It's time of week again where we get to dig down deep and find what we're thankful for as we shuffle through these last few weeks/month of pregnancy.
I'm thankful that the weight gain thread has moved on to page two, fingers crossed it dies a quick death. 8->
In also thankful for all the support and humor of you ladies on here. I sometimes feel like I get more understanding and insight from you fellow bumpies than my other non pregnant friends or husband.
I'm also thankful for a hard working husband who is learning patience, though definitely not a master yet. He's a loving father and strives for excellence at work. It's awesome to see him excel at his new career.
I'm thankful I can start setting up our nursery. I'm thankful for hardworking DH, who isn't sleeping either, due to cat troubles, and me getting up all night. He's just so kind about everything.
Thankful that my family is all so excited about this baby! I've talked before about how disappointed I am to not be closer to home for this, but my family is doing everything they can to make up for that. My mom texts me multiple times a day specifically to check in - we text pretty frequently anyway, but she checks in now first thing in the morning and as soon as she gets off work specifically to ask how I'm feeling. My sisters are both driving out to us to be here for baby's delivery - one is actually going to be in L&D with me, because she's going to school to be a baby nurse and I think she'll be able to calm me down if necessary, and the other just wants to hang out in the waiting room and read (she's a huge bookworm like me and, at 15, actually has time to indulge). Bookworm sister has also offered to stay with us periodically throughout the summer to be an extra set of hands if needed, since she's too young to actually work.
DH's family is also excited - his brother and sister-in-law want us to call when we leave for the hospital no matter what time of day or night so they can come meet LO as soon as we're ready for visitors (they live a few hours away). And even DH's sister, who's been pretty distant throughout this pregnancy due to some personal stuff she's been going through, is finally telling us how excited she is to be an aunt. We're definitely feeling the love that LO is going to be surrounded with from the moment she arrives and we can't wait for her to get here!
I'm thankful for my wonderful parents. They do so much for us and I love them dearly. I'm thankful that I only have 11 more shifts to work between now and baby arrives because my scrub pants are barely getting up over my butt and I don't want to spend money on new ones lol )
Thankful to be 37 weeks today! And that DS1 (21 months) is so awesome. He is currently cracking me up "talking" to himself in his crib as he wakes up. Looking forward to some good family time over the long weekend.
With Memorial Day in mind, I am also thankful for our men and women who have or are now serving in the military!! Their sacrifice and dedication is amazing. My brother is in Afghanistan through October, and we are so proud. He was deployed just 3 weeks after his first daughter was born. Can't imagine..
I'm thankful for epidurals! My water broke at 11pm last night, and after trying to do it all natural, contractions got too intense and were super close together so I opted for the epidural. I've been Pain free for the last four hours, and I'm already dilated to 8cm! Here's to hoping that our son or daughter arrives before lunch!
Also thankful for my amazing hubby and mom who helped me through the contractions at the beginning and for the amazing nurses here at the hospital. Can't believe this is really happening!
My wallet was stolen yesterday. However I'm thankful the person did not take my iPhone or commuter pass! Also, I had two gift cards from my shower for large sums of money In the wallet and since both had been partially used by us, the vendors said they could likely reissue. Thanks BRU and Amazon!!
I am thankful for my amazing DH. He is so supportive and laid back. It makes for a good balance between the two of us. He works so hard and I could never thank him enough for all he does!
I've been complaining too much so this thread is well timed.
I'm thankful to be in the home stretch (regardless of how looooooooooooooong it feels like i have to go)
I'm thankful for my DH who is excited and so helpful all the time. I dont know what i'd do without him and his excellent shoe-tying abilities every morning.
I'm thankful for the long weekend ahead and working from home tomorrow to kick it off. I'm going to spend time with my family and my in-laws and I'm so grateful for their support. It makes me happy to see them all knowing we'll get to laugh and get excited about this baby being here soon.
Greatest of all, this weekend I'm especially thankful for our branches of the military and military families and all those who've given their lives for our country. I can't imagine a tougher line of work to join and how all encompassing it is for their families. This country is great because of these men and women.
My mother gave me a pearl ring (one of the June birth stones) for my birthday, saying if we have a girl, it can go to her later. Made me tear up!
We found a tenant for our apartment! Super complicated schedule and issues with our co-op board, but a twist of fate brought her to us and I'm sooooo relieved!
I'm thankful that I've made it this far and haven't been put into bedrest. I was really worried about that because lots of twin mommies spend their last month plus on bedrest and I have a toddler. That would not have worked.
And I'm grateful for hubby who listens to me complain every night about my hips hurting and doesn't make me feel like I'm being dramatic. He's so supportive and amazing.
Finally, I'm grateful for Frozen for keeping my daughter entertained when I just need to rest. I feel a bit guilty that's she's watching TV but then I just tell myself it's all about survival at this point!
I'm thankful for my DH he honestly has put up with my emotional roller coaster these past 9 months so well, I can only Imagine how hard it is to put up with me, especially now as we are crawling towards the finish line

AND the restaurant where it was stolen called me today to let me know they will put in a claim with insurance and I may be able to recover some of my losses - hooray!
I'm thankful that baby girl is no longer breech! I may get to try this VBAC thing after all!
I'm also thankful that my inlaws are super close (I may regret their proximity in a couple weeks) since they've been great about looking after DS while I run around to the kabillion appointments I've had the last couple of weeks!
I'm thankful for my beautiful daughter & fur babies, a career I love (and being off since March), my amazing hubs who has been so studly this pregnancy and I have nothing to gripe about him.. He's tall dark handsome manly man who spoils me, and thanks to the hormones can't keep my hands off him. I'm thankful for this little miracle man inside me and praying for a smooth delivery and a healthy happy baby. And Ice cream, I'm very thankful for ice cream
Recently have been so very thankful for modern appliances! I can start a load of laundry, the dishwasher, and the roomba (robot vacuum) before bed and wake up to a significantly cleaner house. It's magical! (Especially on nights like this when I'm clearly not sleeping, so I'm sure I'll be exhausted tomorrow morning. Today. Whatever.)
I'm thankful that I have a precious baby boy that I get to spend the summer with! I am also thankful for DH who has spent every waking moment with me and Aiden. And the hospital staff has been great in making me feel at ease during and after the c/section. And DH's family has been wonderful in getting us anything we need.
