The best part of my pregnancy is...

Let's face it: Some of you ladies haven't had the best pregnancies. Between nausea, exhaustion, and hormones it has been no walk in the park. However, I thought it would be nice to reflect on the best moment or aspect of your pregnancy thus far. Maybe when you're in the middle of dozing off during a meeting or squeezing your swollen feet into your shoes, you can reflect on that time and it will bring a smile to your face. For me, the best part of my pregnancy has been my belly. I know, its weird. But I love it. Its like a constant reminder that I'm not alone. I also really enjoy eating 6 meals a day and having nobody even bat an eye. I'll certainly miss that after I deliver ;) and lastly, DH layed his head down right next to my belly, pulled out his Bible, and began to read out loud to her. It was so sweet, and someday I will tell her all about it. :)

  • Feeling him move!!!
  • I love the feeling of her having a wiggle around in there, especially when I'm at work and sat in another boring meeting or listening to someone prattle on about rubbish. It's just such a great feeling knowing I'm not alone and I always have company. She makes me smile to myself all the time and it's like we have this secret language only we know.
  • Getting ultrasounds. I'm high risk so I get checked more often and I love seeing her on the screen playing around. It's like a baby monitor.
  • I love feeling her move, when I'm at work or out and about running around I talk to her so I love the constant companionship. I also love when DH puts his hand on my belly and talks to her. It feels so real then.

  • It has been a rough 29 weeks but every time I feel her move I'm reminded of this beautiful life that's growing inside me. And as miserable as I've been, I know I'm going to miss her when she's out in the world and no longer with me 24/7 to protect.

The best part is feeling her move :)
  • I agree with everyone else! Feeling my baby girl move is the most amazing thing. Also, the love for my husband that has deepened through this adventure. The moments when he puts his head on my belly to talk to our baby or says that he can't wait to hold her melt my heart! I know it will only grow once she's here in our arms. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that your hubs is reading the Bible to your belly @carleyec93
  • Not to sound like a broken record but feeling my little girl move around is the best part about being pregnant. This baby is a major wiggle worm. I feel her all the time.

Also, seeing her kicks move my entire stomach is kind of cool and freaky at the same time. I can't wait to hold her in my arms :-)
  • I love feeling my baby move :) she's definitely a little kickboxing ninja in there :P
  • I have a few favorites.
    1.  Of course the kicks and somersaults and reminders that someone's living inside me.
    2.  The anticipation.  I love counting down the weeks.  It feels like Christmas every week.
    3.  I like that I have permission to be a little easier on myself if I don't finish my to-do list, or if I just need to relax.
  • I love the bonding time I have with my little guy. It's just me and him. I also love that any time me or my husband sings he starts kicking. :x I just love my little man soooooo much!
  • I love eating as much as you want (okay not overdoing it but still) lol. Or that hubby will get me ice cream at 9:30pm. Is it bad I'm slightly glad he's gained some weight along with me? ;)
  • I know this sounds horrible, but one of the best things about this pregnancy is knowing it's my last.  I get to treasure every moment, and still be happy I am not going to go thru this again.  As much as I love my children and would honestly love to have more, my body is not happy when it's pregnant and I end up being completely miserable the entire time.  I do love that  I can feel her move, but I love it even more that she's just like her daddy and hard-headed (every time he touches my belly so he can feel her move, she stops moving all together). I love the fact that I will have my 2 boys that are close in age, then my 2 girls now that will be close in age.

I couldn't have said it better myself!! It's perfect!
  • I love feeling her wiggle around and kick!  I also love seeing how excited our family and friends are about the baby.  It makes me extra excited :)
  • I love hearing her sweet heart beat at the doctors office!

Agree with @emmacake08 that not having to suck in the tummy is awesome! Especially in comfy sundresses

Putting away tiny sweet clothes is fun too!

  • Last night, immediately after work, I had to take my boys to a birthday party at a bouncy house place. Of course there weren't any seats available, so I had to stand for 2 hours.
After we got home, I laid down on the bed and my lil girl decided to move all around and kick! It seemed like all of the aches in my feet and back just melted away then.
All I could do was smile. :-)
  • I love my one year old boy headbanging his head onto my belly with his face. He's so funny. And mouth open kisses my big belly. I tell him baby girl is in there but he's too young to understand. All I can think is ok baby girl this is what it's like having a big brother. Makes me smile.

    Love her movements and kicks!

  • Best part is feeling her little kicks and talking to her feel her move with certain music calling her by the name we picked out <3. I also adore when my mom talks to her and she moves my active little girl (:
  • I love everything! Every second. The good and the not so good. It has forced me to appreciate so much. It took us loss and IVF to get here and there were days when I doubted it would happen. I love feeling and seeing LO's journey inside my belly. I love the closeness between my husband and I. I love each stretch mark and dark spot. I embrace my outtie. All of it. I wouldn't trade this feeling for the world!
  • Like everyone else I love feeling her move, but I especially love sharing her movements with my family and friends.  My niece tried for several days to feel the baby move, and I will always cherish the face she made the first time she felt her kick.  Also, watching my husband's face as he watches my belly move around.  Priceless!

I love taking it easy on myself and not pushing to the limit with work, exercise, etc. I have never been one to take it easy and not feel guilty about it. Also love the kicks and rolls. And I second the maternity jeans comment! I never want to go back to zipping my pants again!

  • Eating my bowl of alfredo while it rested on my belly last night rather than holding it...LOL
  • 2 things:
I love not having to hide my giant belly
For some strange reason the low back pain I've had for 20 years has gone away. I hope it doesn't come back ever.
  • I love everything about it, even the feeling crappy part. It's bringing me closer to everyone around me. I love the kicking, the being able to take it easy, the bonding and the anticipation. It is the best reason to feel so fat and crappy all of the time. I am going to miss it.
  • Just the fact that this baby is still with me! After several miscarriages every day feels like a blessing! The kicks distract me from work and keep me smiling! My hair is so thick and shiny and my husband dotes on me incessantly.
  • Definitely feeling him move in there. No periods are nice too :) I also love the increased connection its brought between hubby and I. I love when he talks to our boy or reads to him or prays for him.
  • I love that pregnancy makes me feel so special. I feel empowered knowing that I can carry another life inside of me. I also love that my anxiety has gone away with pregnancy. I hope it never returns!
  • I agree with most of the PPs, I love feeling my little guy moving around! he's super active and I've been able to feel him move for over 10 weeks now but it still brings a smile to my face and amazes me to know that he's in there
  • I love the get off easy pass. No litter duty or cleaning toilets for me. I also love how if I forget something at work everyone laughs it off and blames pregnancy brain.
