OB today. 38 wks today. I am so bummed out. 1cm. 30% effaced. Cervix still really high up. I was seriously so irritated I couldn't even speak to the OB after. I feel like I sound like a giant brat but I haven't slept more than 1-2 hours broken up in months. My hips and legs hurt so bad that I can hardly sit still and in bed at night I can't even move. I have to hold on to walls to get to the bathroom or I'll fall down. I'm nauseous. My reflux is ridiculous. It's to the point now where even sitting up in a chair, I have reflux. They wanted me to call the chiropractor. But DS has baseball twice a week. Soccer once a week. And I am the primary pick up parent and I'm off at 5 and need to be at school by 6. Sooo yeah when exactly am I going to fit that in.
Boo! I'm sorry you've been feeling so bad. You can make it! Just two more weeks to go! (Full disclosure - I am saying this for my own benefit, too, since I am also quite tired of being pregnant!)
well I was never dilated at all even just a couple days before I would go into labor. So don't worry too much about that...you could go into labor tonight. My reflux is bad now too. I get super nauseated from it and end up throwing up. Its usually tons of stomach acid that comes up and it burns my throat and mouth so badly. Its nasty.
Yuk. I'm sorry you feel so bad, and have no time to take for yourself. I'm two weeks behind you and not feeling too hot myself, but in don't have all those other obligations to meet. You're a rockstar! Wishing you some relief from your aches and pains, and maybe a random opening in your schedule to pamper yourself. Bah - call out sick from work one day and use that day for a prenantal massage and chiro sesh. Those people at your work have slacked off enough about your replacement that you shouldn't feel guilty for taking a 'me' day. That's their problem, not yours. Not like one extra day is going to make a difference, is it? (Unless you're trying to avoid that for PTO and FLMA reasons)
Thank you ladies. My OB was quickly out of the room. I think he was scared I'd smack him or something. Lol. I'm just disappointed. I know I'm not overdue or anything but all my kids have been early and it's just frustrating.
I wish I could take a day off. I hardly have enough PTO to cover my waiting period before disability starts. And if I call in 'sick' I'll get an attendance point for it. Our Attendance policy is ridiculous!
Part of it is work too. I'm just so irritated with them and I don't want to give them another ounce of my energy. My whole team is irritated. Everyone had their office doors shut today.
