I've always suffered with severe insecurities about my weight.
I was told by a doctor on average I would put on two stone which I would've been happy with.
However, week 36 and I've suddenly gained 4 1/2 lbs in 4weeks and am now at a gain of 2 stone 2.5lbs.
Can I ask a really personal question and ask what people have gained?
Re: Weight gain
Unfortunately that's just how it works as a woman sometimes.
Each and every pregnancy and body is so different. In general we have stayed away from weight gain threads in this community. All it does is create braggarts or bring people down.
If your doctor is okay with your weight gain than you should be okay with it too. God bless and good luck
Edited for spelling!!
Now on adding weight. I am in same boat, I always made sure I looked good...not overweight or underweight, but when I look in mirror...I call me fat. I would try to hide it but now it baby herman in belly is POP out ☺ I obviously cannot hide it! But, I love rubbing my belly and feel baby herman kicks... Haha My husband is sweetest man ever...he goes, noooo you are pregnant. You will be back to same size if you go back to gym lol but he doesn't understand how it affects my self esteem. I look huge to myself...FTM. others say I look so tiny and great! Even I couldn't work out at all. Kinda weird.

I'm a small build so I knew I had a ways to climb, every few weeks when time I get on the scale I think to myself 'big money, big money' lol and embrace the changes! Now I think I'm up 30lbs.
Most of us likely plan to breastfeed, and we're having babies during an ideal season to get outside and stay fit, so things will be in our favour
So if you were simply curious about normalcy or interested in weight as an indicator of health, that would be one thing. But since this is about insecurity and thus probably vanity vs. health... AND it is a topic that makes so many women uncomfortable on here...Let's just not.
Your body is gaining the weight it needs to carry your baby. Let's leave it at that.
