I am only 5 weeks and I am super bloated. I think that since I was already chunky to begin with I am tight in my jeans. Now I just look even heavier. My mom had bought me a few pairs and they seem to be more comfortable. Too soon?
I don't care what anyone says I don't fit in my size 5 shorts anymore so I got maternity ones and I'm wearing them till this bloat turns to baby! Because I can't fit in my other ones. You do you don't be uncomfortable just because ppl say "wait to wear maternity clothes till -blah weeks-"
I really hope to not buy any. There are tons of stretchy cute tops and bottoms id rather buy to wear now and later. Can't say I dig the scrunchy sides of maternity tops or the tops that look like parachutes . There's plenty of bands and what not to put on my pants I already own so if I'm going to shop it's def going to be for cute everyday clothing.
going to try to avoid maternity clothes for the most part. I usually wear flowy skirts and summer dresses that are loose and cute, so i want to stay with that. I might have to buy tank tops that will be able to stretch over the tummy though, but only to be worn during, since i'm afraid of them staying that way.
Do what makes you comfortable! I can't wait to bust out my maternity wardrobe again. I went a little crazy with shopping last pregnancy and I think I like my maternity wardrobe better than my regular wardrobe. Stretchy waistbands for lyfe!
I have gained a little weight since last summer. So my shorts didn't fit. So I bought maternity shorts because while I don't necessarily need them now, what is the point of buying something that I'm going to grow out of in a month.

The bigger your belly gets, the shorter your dresses will become. I have a few dresses that I think will work throughout my pregnancy, but I will wear some leggings under them once they get too short.
PSA: If anyone is looking to buy some maternity clothes now, Motherhood Maternity has all of their clearance 30% off online. There are lots of items under $20. I'm tempted to buy some now because the prices are so cheap. . .

Last time, I squeezed myself into jeans with hair ties for way too long, thinking maternity pants were awful. Once I finally got maternity jeans, I kicked myself for not doing it sooner! I was totally browsing online last night. I cannot stand tight jeans. I'm ready for the stretchy! Even my LuluLemon leggings are tight! Ugh!
I had to use my Bellaband out of necessity for some dress pants! Those suckers were never going to zip up. Check out pinkblushmaternity.com, good sales and cute stuff! Otherwise just lots of flowy tops
Anna.acb - oh, i'm talking mostly about maxi-dress style, super stretchy, extra comfy dresses
unfortunately, i'm too short for most standard maxi's, so i'll have to be on the lookout for more when the time comes.
A lot of maxi skirts are the fold over type so you can adjust the length that way, and if you get a size up you can tuck them under the growing belly to last the whole 9 mos.
I invested in new flowy tops to try to hide the bloat and new bras, but I think I need to invest in some maternity pants/shorts too because everything is so tight!
I'm in the same boat, feeling very bloated and I already had a bit of a belly, so I am definitely going for stretchy pants / maternity clothes even though it seems way too early.
Any clothes I've bought in the last year were with being preggo in mind. This way it's my "normal" clothes and no one will know the difference. I'm thickums anyway so no one will be able to tell for a long time. Basically I'm sticking to Old Navy yoga pants with pockets and loose tops. I'll most likely just add some loose tunics to the mix for fall/winter and call it a day.
This morning at Target I treated myself to a Lilly Pulitzer jumpsuit. It ties at the waist and will prob look stupid on me soon but IDGAF
Wear whatever bc you are pregnant and imo that is basically a license to do whatever the hell you want whenever the hell you want.
Hold the presses... You found a lilly anything?! It's sold out everywhere I've been! I'm jealous. :P
Well I don't mean to brag :^o but tbh I was not expecting to find her anywhere since I heard most places sold out within hours... luckily where I am currently living nobody knows about her (:| . Not ironically the fam and I are moving to West Palm Beach at the end of the month <:-P
I tried to squeeze into my regular clothes forever with my first then I went to the maternity store and got some maternity pants and it was AMAZING how much more flattering those clothes were to my body, let alone comfortable. They smooth out your belly to a nice bump instead of it looking like you got muffin tops everywhere
I'm going to have to find my belly band thingy. Because I tend to wear fitted pants at work and they are just nit cutting it. I popped a snap today. But I'm also not big enough for my maternity stuff to fit.

Just keep swimming.
I never quit wearing some of the maternity stuff I bought first time around.
I love a long tank.
But I invested in them, bought classic silhouettes and so on. A lot of maternity clothes are junk and super over priced.
